It was obviously a false flag operation.
It was the Russians that fired missiles (with radar echo enhancers) on the air base,
as part of their marketing of the S-400/Pantsir. .

Russia surely has one solid against Usa in S-400 but nonetheless its a defensive system, it might work with Su-57, J-20 or even F-35 export versions but a clean configuration F-22 or Us F-35 has bright chances to take the S-400 batteries out.
