More like putin will rule russia for a very longggg time much like Stalin. Its sad that such big/powerful country has fallen prey to one man politics. it shouldnt be that way, there should be other strong institutions which limits one person having to much power to do what he wants. Its indeed sad to see that russia has returned to stalin era. lets see what happens when putin is nomore there.

Dude I dont think you understand that there are numerous in the Russian power circle that are WAY more hardline that Putin.
In fact, Putin is a relative moderate and you'd be naive to think otherwise.

What I find surprising is how little regard the Russians have for their Indian 'friends'. Indians hold Russia in high regard but the average Ruskie acknowledges Kazakhstan and Belarus before India.

The Russians are no friends of China, they were part of the eight nation alliance that brought China down through the darkest century of humiliation.
