Ouch!!! JF-17 being fourth gen, I am sure it is. But it was from a russian source talking in context of Russian view of JF-17, who along with most of the other world apart from the chest beating pakistani's and all weather copycat Chinese calls them JF-17 , 3rd Generation.

I wonder if it's the Russians who worked on it or the Chinese/Pakistani's who developed it, what is Russian input "Just the Engine", they should be the last people to judge what Gen a plane is, cause frankly their planes haven't had a good record in the past.

Lo, he could have been talking in Chinese Gen or a typo, but certainly AFM and ACM, etc, all rank it as 4th Gen.

Indian BVRAAM is too lousy, inaccurate, third-class BVRAAM in the world.

DOnt we just love it when Pakistani's and Chinese pass judgements on Russia about Aircraft manufacturing capabilities. All the while they buy from them , or even source their spare parts.
Please those guys have made and contributed far more to Aerospace to Pakistan and China combined twice wouldnt reach.

It was made during the 4th Gen period with definite 3rd Gen Charactersitics. Therefore as the Russian said, A 3rd Generation aircraft. Its like the bi-plane in world war-2..lol

Firstly, the ACM of PAF himself said it's a 4th Gen. Who's words are we going to take a reporter who didn't even quote or gave reference to the source, or for the top brass of PAF who's inducting the plane? What's funny is idiots judging the plane before we select electronics that will go into it from European nations, etc.
