Currently bombers undergoing flight tests at the flight-test station of the Novosibirsk Aviation Production Association named after Chkalov. Previously reported that in the first game, transferred to the military in late 2009, there were two aircraft.

To date, the Russian Defense Ministry has ordered 32 Su-34, which produces the Novosibirsk Aviation Production Association named after Chkalov. From 2007 to 2009 the Russian Air Force received four ordered the bomber, including two aircraft, the military sent for tests for combat use.

It is expected that by 2015 the Russian Defense Ministry to buy 70 Su-34 bombers.

In addition, the Su-34 is supposed to set the auxiliary gas turbine power plants TA14-130-35, which will run the engine bomber on the ground without the use of ground equipment. With this modification will increase the autonomy of the Su-34 and to expand the list of aerodromes their home.

Su-34 in the long term should form the basis for front-line bombers in Russia. These aircraft are capable of speeds up to 1,9 thousand kilometers per hour and fly at a distance of up to four thousand kilometers.

Combat radius of Su-34 is 1,1 thousand kilometers. Bomber armed with a 30-millimeter cannon and has 12 points of suspension for suspension of arms weighing up to eight tons.

Thanks...This definition also clears all the doubts

A military aircraft designed to operate in combined roles of attacking enemy aircraft and bombing targets. Usually faster and more maneuverable than a traditional bomber

We should also consider these bombers seriously for our SCF requirement ...

Its good plane for Strategic Command

They need 40 so
30 to 35 units of Sukhoi 34 from now-onwards
5 to 10 PaK-Da after development

If this happened so no one try to attack India

MOSCOW (BNS): Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi has begun flight testing of a new batch of Su-34 fighter bombers ahead of their delivery to the Russian Air Force by this year-end.

The advanced two-seat strike aircraft are undergoing flight trials at the Chkalov Aviation Production Association (NAPO) flight testing station in Novosibirsk, Sukhoi said.

The company was awarded a contract in 2008 to provide a total of 32 Su-34 fighters to the Russian Defence Ministry.

The multi-role Su-34 fighter bombers, operated by the Russian Air Force, have been designed to attack land-based, sea- and airborne targets by day and night in all weather conditions.

The four-plus generation strike plane is equipped with several airborne munitions, including high-precision ones. It also features a smart anti-radar defence system
, an armed cockpit and latest computers that provide extra capabilities for the pilot and navigator to perform aimed bombing and to maneuver under enemy fire.

The excellent aerodynamics, large capacity internal fuel tanks, fuel-efficient bypass engines with a digital control system, in-flight refueling device and add-on fuel tanks enable the aircraft to fly long distances close to those of medium strategic bombers.

The Russian Air Force had showcased the new bombers during the Vostok-2010 military exercises held in July. During the exercise, the Su-34 successfully hit mock targets in the Russian Far East after flying non-stop all the way from a base in the European part of Russia. The mission also involved a mid-air refueling operation.

Sukhoi said it will soon begin work on enhancing the Su-34’s combat potential by equipping it with new airborne munitions.

It's more like a Su-24 or FB-111 than a Su-27 or 30. Long range interdiction is its mission, rather than air to air.

yet..unlike those two.. it can also hold its own in a furball....although.. i suppose the Varks idea of gunning and running wasn't bad either..considering it reportedly hit M2.2 on a low level run...
