Russia to receive a “digital” Tu-160 strategic bomber after upgrade

Correct.

But the magnitude or number of such analogue switches are far more in your fighter plane than in the US plane. What is the sauce for the goose should be the sauce for the gender no?

The last time I checked, neither France, nor Britain, nor Japan, nor Germany had not any strategic bombers. Even the most primitive ones.

US is a superpower, Japan and NATO members are not, they have Nuke umbrella from Uncle Sam.
Why strategic bombers? Illogical.

You are trying to beat a conventional wisdom.
These are military requirements. If Russian pilots need 4 analog devices - the designers will do 4. If the US military believes that 2 is enough - the designers will install 2. It is unlikely that this will somehow affect the combat qualities, but, after all, it is better for the military and designers to know, is not it?
This is a topic about the revival of production of the Tu-160, which this time will be completely digital. This is a giant step forward and they will test some solutions for PAK-DA project.
So, why all this "Japan&West" loud words if only US does matter and all others are just client states, which need protection from outside?

Because Western world comprises of the USA beside others.
Even the smaller countries like UK and Sweden are ahead in few of the digital phase of electronics, if not all.

SAAB has GaN based AESA radar.
Do you have it?

Saab offers cutting-edge GaN AESA Radar Technology if India selects

I am sure that the US military would be very happy if someone suggested reviving of the production of strategic supersonic B-1 bombers with a new element base.
Russia is now reviving production of a unique and at present moment the only supersonic strategic bomber in the world.
I'm sure there will be times when another independent country will appear in the West, except for the United States. US has some developed colonies, I am not disputing that fact.

Agreed.

But our dialogue flew off the tangent from digital electronics to strategic bombers.

I do not argue that Russia can be inferior to the United States or European countries in something. But the fact is that the Tu-160M2 will be a monstrously powerful weapon, which has no analogues in the world, even in the United States.

Its about electronics in its digital form and not the bombers or submarines or any other platform.
Russia does not have a single company that would match any of these companies like GE, Hitachi, Fujitsu, NEC types on electronics.

How many patents does Russia possess vs the US/Japan in electronics field?
Go from there.

Actually it's all about bombers and submarines not about toilets with digital control.
If you can do an electronic toilet control system, this does not mean that you can build a supersonic bomber with an electronic control system.
You do know this is bombers/submarines forum, not gadgets forum?

Two different things.
Chalk & cheese.

But there also you don't have superiority because over the US which is a superpower and you are not.
Look at the 640 billion of US defense budget vs how much of yours?

80 billions?

You don't have hard currency.
You are at the mercy of SWIFT code denial that you experienced last time.
Your economy is sanction prone, like last time when Ruble lost 45% of its value against US-EU sanctions.

Know thy weaknesses man.

The US have completely different level of spendings. Russia needs only 1 thing - to protect Russia, and the US has to confront all states that it does not directly control - Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, India, Pakistan, Syria, Venezuela. In addition, the United States are forced to spend huge sums on the military occupation bases in its sphere of influence.
The United States has long been transformed from a global creditor into a global debtor. It's only a matter of time before their empire collapses.
Russia is the second most powerful military power. When the time comes to share the world after the collapse of Pax Americana, only this will matter.

You are banking on future. In this case its futile.

No country can beat the USD demand. 85% countries central banks hold USD in their FOREX kitty.
65% of world trade is quoted in USD and routed through the US banks.

What is the utmost selling (value wise) American item on the market today?
Marlboro? Rayban? Weapons? No......

Its US dollar. US has been exporting its USD silently and earning trillions out of it - Each 100 USD bill costs .05 cent to print. Look at the margin of profit.

You can not beat this country anytime soon.

USD is the benchmark of currencies.

The US debt has already exceeded 100% of GDP and it is growing at an alarming rate. What does it mean? That the US will never be able to repay its debts. What does it mean? That the US currency will soon cease to be a world currency. Just as in time the British pound has ceased to be a world currency. Why? Because the debtor does not determine the rules of the game - he follows them.
At one time, the Soviet Union and the United States devided the legacy of the British Empire. In the 21st century, Russia and China (and Iran, Venesuela, Cuba and some other countries) will devide the legacy of the American Empire. It is simple logic.
The debtor loses power. This is the law.
You should get used to the post-American world. This is just the beginning of a new era, not an apocalypse. I am sure that the world will become a little better.

And the Japan debt is?
250%
Highest in the world.
Japan still is walking tall. Because Japan is a creditor nation.
So is the US.

Since 1975 I have been hearing the USD will collapse and so will its economy.
And for your information, GBP is still a hard currency that you can exchange anywhere. But not your Ruble.
World bank and IMF currency basket has GBP in it along with USD/YEN/EURO and Yuan. Along with SDR.

We have only one world's reserve currency - dollar. There are other freely convertible currencies, but only dollar is the world's reserve currency.
If your debts grows much faster than you earn money, then sooner or later you will become a bankrupt. In fact, you are already bankrupt, they just have not announced it yet. When you are declared bankrupt, the creditors will come and take your property. This is a simple procedure.
When the US was a global creditor, then they ruled the world. Now the United States has become a world debtor and no longer rule the world. There were times when the US could destroy entire states with impunity. Now this can no longer be done, there are alternative powers that can provide protection against US attack. Syria was sentenced to destruction, but Syria is alive and regains control over the country. The hegemony is over, the process is irreversible.

A country that makes trillions of dollars a year by selling a paper (USD) to the world can not go bankrupt.
You can buy anything with the USD, gold, diamonds, Rubles everything.

This country is not going to go down. Neither mathematically nor practically. Period.
And the good thing for Americans is that its not a legal tender. Nixon delinked it in 1971.
Its a piece of paper, US wont redeem it one fine morning, if the need be. If there is a financial emergency in the US.

There is a reason I posted F-16 vs MIG 29, while you came with others.

Do you want to see F-35 & F-22 cockpit?

What makes you think your country is more advanced in digital electronics than japan & West?

@vostok

If you are disputing this, there is gonna be a war here, and your dialogue would be carpet bombed.

You made a fool out of yourself and instead of apologizing or quietly disappearing you are making it worse.

Both F-35 and F-22 have toggle switches. The centre stick is not a "joystick". A joystick is something kids play games with. The fact is you're posting pictures of decades old Russian cockpits and making accusations.

Toggle switches are used on some of the most modern aircraft because it gives the pilot a fast and easy way to tell if something is on or off. A toggle switche has nothing to do with how tech savvy anyone is. As for electronics and processors, virtually all semiconductor companies around the world sell to anyone off the shelf or custom make products.

Even US aircraft has foreign manufactured products, same with Russia. As to how good the latest Russian, American, Chinese or European aircraft are in terms of avionics is a secret to everyone that's not involved with the program.
