Sure why not. You could probably put your ear to the ground in Delhi traffic and be able to hear it still, but thats beside the point.
lmao
But to be fair, am sure the Chinese submarine technology must have improved quite a lot by now.

This is almost a done deal. About time deal will be signed.
is there any possibility of pak leasing chinese nuke sub?
mao

Sale of nuclear subs is prohibited hence the lease. Consider the lease as never expiring and as good as a purchase for all practical purposes.
I think Parrikar will sign during his trip to Russia.
India getting nuclear help from east and the west without signing mandatory treaty.
Can u believe that?? No one in the World is complaining.

The "lease" is in name only to get around certain international restrictions on this type of system being sold to non-MTCR members, for all intense and purposes the IN will own both SSNs and it is likely they will never be returned to Russia. But the real question is,during times of any possible hostility, can the Indian Navy use this sub to engage enemy combatants or is it purely for training purposes??
And what of the two most critical deals- FGFA and MRTA?No. Parrikar will set-up the groundwork, but I believe the deals will be signed when Modi visits Russia. I am expecting nuclear submarine deal, T-90MS modernization, Super Su-30MKI modernization, and potential S-400 triumf. Russia has been looking to sign a number of big ticket deals and come out looking strong to the world and its people, despite inflation worries and a shrinking economy. Given this, I hope we bargain hard and get as much as possible out of the Russians while they are in sanctions mode.

Exactly.Oh,so you mean the lease will be renewed after every 10 years until the subs retire??!!That's awesome bro, thanks for sharing.
I wouldn't be so surelmao

FGFA is very important for the fighter fleet but one cannot ignore (as many are) the importance of the MRTA for the transport fleet. The An-32s are not going to live forever (in fact it looks like their lifespan could be prematurely cut short by the Ukrainian crisis) and once they start becoming unserviceable the backbone of the IAF's tactical airlift fleet (and airlift capacity as a whole) is broken. The C-130J-30s and C-17s might be the most eye-catching types in the transport fleet but the An-32 is the unsung hero and it needs a suitable replacement to make up for the vast numbers of An-32s in service (over 100).FGFA is the most crucial deal to be decided on priority during next 2 months, most probably during modi visit in first week of December
Not just that, next lease extension cost will be cheaper as well.Oh,so you mean the lease will be renewed after every 10 years until the subs retire??!!That's awesome bro, thanks for sharing.
