Russia has assured Bangladesh that it will help the country with land management and resolving land feuds.

Russian Deputy Minister for Economic Development Abramchenko Victoria Valeryevna gave her assurances to Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury at a bilateral meeting, according to a Press Information Department handout.

The meeting took place at the Rosreestr head office, in Moscow, on Thursday, reports UNB.

The land minister informed Valeryevna that land management is being reformed in Bangladesh, and soon it will be fully digitalized.

Land Appeal Board Chairman Md Abdul Hannan; member of the board, Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal; the land minister's Personal Secretary, Md Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury; Deputy Head of Rosreestr, Nadezhda Samoylova; and Maxim Smirnoff attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed geo-portal, block chain registration technology, agricultural land reservation and management, land survey, land zoning, scientific use of land and exchange of expertise, and technology.

Russia to help Bangladesh with land management
So it is the Russian Lady Minister who will teach us land management? Absurd, not only she but her entire bureaucrats together will require 14 generations to learn only about the tanglings in the CS Record, RS Record, SA Record, and the present BS Record in Bangladesh. Even the BS Record itself has not yet been finalized since it was undertaken by the Good for Anything bureaucrats of Bangladesh in the 1990s.

So, what kinds of problems may be arising because of this inefficiency. One is "A person cannot sue another person in a legal Court even if his land has been occupied by another by virtue of falsified documents". He cannot sue unless the BS Record is finalized and gazetted. I know people who are waiting for almost three decades. After all, this is Golden Bangladesh. The victim may have to wait for another three decades.

However, it may not be seen too long because our govt now says our expected longevity is now 72.3 years.

Settling land dispute will obviously dampen the desire to live longer for many people in Bangladesh. If they settle land dispute this early in their life then they will just give those land to their offspring and totally concentrate on prayers and afterlife thus indirectly hastening their death. It is good that land records in Bangladesh is very complicated and is acting as a longevity booster in our country. So, Good bless the bureaucracy.

Russia/? ffs they've got half of the world to themselves... i expect this from japan or netherlands.... or south korea for the matter of fact
I do not know about the Netherlands but historically Japan has been systematic be it population or land recording. The Record Room people kept everything up to date even before the computer was invented. There was only one break to this Japanese tradition due to an incessant American bombing of certain areas in Tokyo at the end of WWll that destroyed houses as well as the buildings that housed the land records and files in certain areas.

This caused many people to flee to the villages. and could neither find the houses nor records when they returned. Most of these lands were already occupied by the Korean residents in Japan. Note that Korea was an American ally in that war and the resident Koreans in Japan were regarded as its allies. So, it was easy for them to bully and occupy many land plots. Many Japanese were unable to prove their ownership because of the records have been destroyed.

Netherlands
in terms of land management... Netherland was bangladesh of the west... flooded delta and population growth didn't help the matter either... they formulated a proper delta plan and now they have series of dams for storing fresh water... keeping the sea where it should be and reclaiming land at the same time

BD is already using Netherlands expertise in protecting land from the encroaching sea.

The opening post by @Black_cats says of land management and land feuds. I answered to that portion. However, you are telling of the Netherlands' land reclamation that started in and has been continuing since the 1300s. I think it is a different subject related to civil engineering. The only thing I can add is that about 1.2 billion ton of silt is accumulated every year along the rivers and their mouths in Bangladesh.

The number of present-day population in the Netherlands is about 18 million which was probably 3 million in the 1300s. Yet, they themselves started the land reclamation along the seacoast at that time instead of asking other countries.

In the case of BD, its govt and people are sooooo inept that they continuously ask the Netherlands to do its home works while failing to mobilize its own engineers/workers to learn from them and do the work themselves.

With a population of only 18 million, Bondhudesh Holland is helping Golden Bangladesh with a population of 160 million. It has been continuing for at least three decades. It is a national disgrace. Why Holland anymore, why not self-help?

netherland was a world power in the 1300s with the tulip trade... bangladesh not so much
good civil engineers all work abroad for higher pay and benefits.... if bangladesh had given the same benefit it gives foreigners for working in bd... then maybe all those people would rather work in bd

You are like many other BD guys are fond of making lame excuses. Who stops you from paying the BD workers in SA to pay $100,000 per month in BD? Learn yourself and teach others to become self-dependent in the national level.

good luck getting any of the bengali contractors to pay 100k bdt to any labours...
if you really want to attain a sustainable workforce that build and develop with it's own technology... you'll have to wait at least around another half century because we wasted away the first 50 years of our independence... South korea isn't what it is just in a year or two.... getting public to attain certain skill needs time and money... easy to speak about but difficult to arrange
