At a press conference in Moscow, Cary Lee Rowe, a spokesman for Clarion Events, said Russ Export Corp, which manages Russian arms exports abroad, has confirmed it will take part in the Bahrain International Defense Fair in October.
"Today we offered a briefing about our exhibition at Ross Oboron Export, where we were told that a week or two ago they signed a contract to supply the Igla portable anti-aircraft systems to Bahrain and earlier signed another contract to supply Metis anti-tank model missile systems .

This is a sign that Russian weapons are finding their way into the GCC area..
First we heard about the T-90MS being tested in Kuwait, then came the news of the UAE JV with Russia for a light weight 5th generation fighter and a serious possibility for sales of the SU-35 to the UAE, after which we just heard a $3,5 billion preliminary deal signed between KSA and Russia for arms deals and ToT, with intents for JVs between the two heard before..and so many other encouraging news..
