airframe wise they are very similar. MKI has canards. But tech wise, there is a lot of difference.

Su27 is old now. Su30 is good. MKI adds western avionics. So its better. Su35 has new hardware onboard. Its on par with MKI, adding western avionics would make Su35 the best.

Excellent analysis, geez! Those incompetent Ruskies should have consulted the present day Einstein before adding canards to their Su-33s or Su-30MKI! And they sold us a Su-27 with canards with no regards to Bernoulli's theories, those lying sniveling Ruskies!!

I personally think India should have bought 42 BM's as they are the best ones around for Ground attack .

MKI is a multirole heavy weight jet good for Air to Air sorties but BM would have added another punch in IAF Inventory .

UAE is looking to buy BM's and Guess who would be flying them

Peregrine...su-35 has technological advantage and newer engine..other than that its the same su-27 perhaps a better air frame..huge one
I was studying the images of Chinese J-11B/SU-30/SU-35 astonishingly there isn't much difference su-30 is refined design..i believe new Chinese J-11B is blend of J-11/SU-30

Firstly, the SU-35 has a sligtly redesigned airframe, bigger intakes, redesigned vertical stabs, incorporates composites, and has no conards.

Be careful with the term "western avionics" is the radar not Russian? Is the OLS not Russian, are the engines not Russian? Are the weopons not Russian? The MKI uses Iasreli jammers, hud, LCD screen, French sigma navigation, and some Indian avionics and or improvments.

I'm not sure what kind of avionics package the Indians ordered but much of the SU-35's avionics can be directly incorporated into the mki, i guess we will have to wait and see what kind of ew suit the latest mki's will have.

There is also talk that the upgrades will have the SU35 engines , i think it was either moscow or you, who had mentioned this in the MKI new orders discussion thread.
