We do need to wait for some more confirmaation.. If the news is true then its gonna have huge ramifications...
Firstly, Indian 5th gen program AMCA will see heavy green lightening but sourcing and developing tech is going to take decades.
2. We will finally see F35s as i said before in 100+ number but sadly i would have preferred F22 anyday over F35 (personal opinion).. thats the only way we can have 5th gen jets other thna AMCA development.. It will also make us move closer to USA and will have global ramifications...
3. Rafales would increase even more in numbers..


Sadly, FGFA is a need and a very strong need.. I hope this news is false.. but then reporter is India today person.. its sending shivers to me....

It would hurt AMCA fatally as AMCA is relying on tech transfer from PAKFA. If there is no PAKFA tech transfer, there might not be any AMCA. India would need to immediately scurry to the back of the line for F-35.

PAKFA is a heavy fighter and AMCA is a medium fighter .
AMCA is completedly different and that is why we are joining hands with GE for a good engine.
