Pakistan as per today with a very robust economy is attracting a lot of international attention and investment and will not be ignored by Russia as they to smell money.
Russia traditionally is India's oldest ally from the coldwar and its policy towards Pakistan has always been (anti-)lobbied by India, but that will change in near future when Pakistan gains full membership of Shanghai group.
Putin is very pro-India and will probably not allow any significant armssale to Pakistan but we bought Mi-17 from them and thats a start.
Putin is willing to cooperate in trade, investemt, development and reasearch and has even offered JV in metallurgie, aerospace, energy and mining when he recently met Mush.

Future is looking bright for both countries.

Just like Pakistan, India is a candidate for full membership of the SCO. Why should they be pissed?

i think pakistan should be looking for stronger ties with Russia specially in field of economy and defence.

Russia will still prefer India But I think if it is wise then it should create a balance between India and Pakistan.Because first of all India is inching towards USA and the WEST.

And pakistans geostrategical location,Gwadar port and its closeness to Afghanistan and central asia makes Russia rethink its attitude towards pakistan.

Oh what makes you think that? huh?

let for the first time Russian president to visit pakistan to improve diplomatic ties, then we will talk about pissing of India.

This is the best chance for this cooperation i think we should provide the corridor of Gwadar to Russians. This will build the trust and since Indians are having their honeymoon with Americans,we should gain the most of from Russian's reservations.

Still Pakistan have a long way to go. If you need fullfledged diplomatic ties with Russia then pakistan will have Political unrest in Pakistan.

Regarding you commenting of Indo-US ties, Russia is also a emerging economy as they can't afford to break ties with India for sake of Pakistan, as they know tying up with India means Multi-Billion trade cooperation which is not in case of Pakistan.

india is the source of all tensions in south asia.
Solution:
Invade and Destroy india!
codename:wipping off the pest!

Unlike American, Russian neeeds cash. America can give u aid or millitary harware as aid but not Russian. They need hard cash and cash is where Pak need to worry about.
