U.S. offers coordination on Syria to avoid incidents - Putin

Russia has received U.S. proposals on how to coordinate efforts in Syria to avoid any incidents, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

"There have been U.S. proposals on how we can structure our military-technical work to avoid any incident whatsoever," he said in Vladimir Solovyov's Sunday Night program aired by the Rossiya 1 television channel on Oct. 11.

"Our specialists have received requests and proposals from Americans, formulated their vision of this joint work and sent it to Pentagon," Putin said.

"I hope the next step will be made, without which resolving the situation will be impossible, namely, that the joint work of searching for a political solution will begin," Putin said.

And that obviously would include all NATO aircraft in the zone of action including the RAF.

it clearly said in the previous articles , RAF has the right to shoot if shot at and talked about potential accidents taht can happen over the skies of Iraq/Syria. nowhere did it say RAF can just take down Russian planes without any reason

The government of Syria authorized Russia to rid its airspace of trespassers. What right does RAF have to shoot back at the legitimate law enforcer?

Even if Assad wins the Civil War, his country is screwed. The amount of animosity is enough that the country will probably barely function.

few days ago it could have happened when Russia asked US jets to leave Syrian air space while jet from both sides were flying close.

every , they are not acting against the Syrian government but ISIS , a group that is a threat not to just Syria but everyone around, if Syria can't control it's territory then a foreign country has a right to step in and deal with a threat.

Leave it brother. We all know shape and size of every country and coalition. USA took so many countries alongside it to attack Iraq and Afghanistan, If Russia is in such a bad shape why did you not go to save Georgia or Ukraine ? If Russia is in such a bad shape then why did it jumped to save Syria and why all you all super powers are not in a position to engage Russia ?

Russia jumped in to save Russian bases (which means Assad), not Syria.

Because Russia picking on small powers with no NATO membership != attacking NATO.
Attacking NATO is another ballpark entirely.

I mean cmon it isn't even the USSR anymore, no matter how much Putin wants it to be.

Neither side would want such a scenario.

RAF is no pushover and Russians are in no position to do anything about it. That does not mean that RAF is looking for a fight.

RAF is more than a match for the Russians and they fully know it. It's a storm in a teacup

Actually, no. Assad command approximately 40% of all Syria with about 30% of its population. That's actually the reason of the current European Refugee today, most of them are Syrian.........

In effect, ISIS have the most land but population is about equal between all fraction...
