Well that's great.. But communications, when a country is at war, do not simply refer to phone calls alone.. Besides I doubt that will help anyway.. At any rate.. there is no possible way one could simply destroy the internet network.. It's not just one cable, it's thousands of them.. and then there are backups.. US is going off her hinges for absolutely no reason.. I mean seriously, they shed a negative light on Russia and expect to shine... No no.. not going to happen.

You realize i was joking right? And yes, you can damage or cut a cable and disrupt communication easily. But per your post, its not true that Russia can win a war because of it.

The US military uses multiple systems, internet down or up will only cause issues for the remainder of the world, not the US and NATO militarily. International trade will get impacted but if Russia ever gets to that point, it"ll probably be the EOW, so trade really means nothing in WWIII.

Big deal. US military have this capability too.
Concern? Maybe, but not as if the US military isn't able to do this too. They have as much, if not more, experience influencing underwater cables are does Russia..

Nah man, it's not about whether U.S. has the same, or even stronger capabilities or not. A. It's not doable. B. If it is doable, and U.S. can do it, they stand to suffer as well. C. If Russia does it, or can do it, they have edge here.. they conducted the experiment to cut off from the internet and we still don't know the results of that. If they were successful U.S. can't cause much damage by cutting those cables.. As far as tapping goes, again.. If Russia can survive without these cables, then tapping is pointless. Different story of the U.S. though.. Besides.. going back to point A.. I seriously doubt it's possible so why would U.S. make such a big deal about this?

Lol. I do realize that. I was just clarifying what I meant by communications.. They could if they do not cut the wires and simply tap into them. Information is vital in wars. So I would conclude that Internet blackout is really not all that possible.. tapping can go both ways assuming Russia's experiment to quite from the World Wide Web failed, but that too is not for certain.. I really can't say.. But it has to be a big a deal if U.S. is freaked.. Otherwise, they're probably just throwing mud at Russia to see what sticks.
