A pho eatery in 日月光(Shanghai) was closed several months ago after one year of struggling.
And once I tried pho in a pho restaurant in Wuhan. I spent one hour there, just us alone, Friday night.

Running a business is hard work. You have to stand out from the crowd and be better than your rivals.
Ive seen pho shops in Cabramatta (Viet capital of Sydney) next to each other where one is packed full and the other is near empty.

street foods operate like MacDonald are not street food anymore, you stupid viets. Just like what I experinced recently in your famous Quan An Ngon in hanoi. It carries everything but nothing stand out.

As for pho, it is the only thing those viets could present, so they brag it like there is no tomorrow . but for us, it is just one variety of rice noodle, the inferior version.

Hanoi Style Beef Noodle Soup for $8.10 sounds good to me too :-)

What's the difference between hanoi beef noodle soup from pho ??
It's pho too. The story is some believe pho originates in Hanoi, as a street food. while the hanoiner are more traditional, keen preserving the past, the saigoner are open to western influence. so pho. Saigon pho is more playful, with experiences of different worlds, with mixed from east to west ingredients. The southern Vietnamese variant is said sweeter, spicier. eating a bowl of Hanoi pho is like going back to the root.

Shanghai is a tough place for food business. Shanghainese only like good quality food for a fair price. Only dumb people especially in big cities in Canada tend to pay overprice mediocre food

Only get raw beef noodles soup in North America. If you ask for the cooked beef you end up getting more fattier beef

its served slightly raw, bro. whenever i order pho tai gan sach, its usually pinkish in color. one can taste the flavor that way. :)
