Rocket drop test Su22 , any info ?

What difference would that have made? Which Iranian Air Force plane can guide a missile to a GROUND TARGET? None

Short range sure you can rely on MM wave radar on the missile head or interial guidance or laser by the aircraft or TV guidance. But above 100KM you would need GPS/GLONASS for readjustment as errors in internal guidance cause small deviations in flight path.

Im not sure why people think this missile has 100-200KM range it’s like they think it’s propelled by magic. The original FAJR was an UNGUIDED rocket. The guidance system given to FAJR Hezbollah rockets To convert to precision guided rocket, Is probably just a simple system to keep rocket stabilized during flight and allow for minor course corrections in trajectory.

The Israeli rampage missile everyone quotes here is guided by GPS/INS.

Irans version could at best be guided by INS and a possible GLONASS redundancy fail safe. But how accurate is Iran’s INS system when launched from air?

That’s the big question

Can anyone outline the benefits of air-launched BM's?

Is it just for better range and speed?
Russian k-58 missile has ~40 km range when launched of sea level by an Su-24... fajr rocket's range is ~90 km from stationary launch vehicle. the main difference is the kinetic energy of missile and the fact that it can travel at speed +3 mach. it increases the striking capability of any air force.
actually the kh-58 range can give us a scale to calculate the air launched fajr missile range. surely it will be more than 150 km.

There are many benefits to aero ballistic missiles/rockets.

"Any aero-ballistic features offer the option of firing at defended targets, including missile defense batteries themselves, from unexpected angles.

Even a small volley of missiles launched from unexpected angles that stay below the view of allied radar installations would limit warning time and would increase the missiles’ effectiveness in a limited strike."

What do you understand from that scene?

First of all that scene could be anything.

Second of all you don’t know the distance the missile traveled before hitting that?

There is a difference between achieving 5M accuracy by dropping a bomb on a target and achieving a 5 meter accuracy on a target 200KM away. The Israeli version uses GPS on top of INS to be able to achieve pinpoint strike capability. Iran relying on GPS/GLONASS during wartime is not ideal.

A surrounded area (perhaps a circle), a line in the middle and an explosion right on that line!

If that explosion belonged to anything else, they wouldn't cut the impact scene.
