Rocket attacks: Kabul seeks US help against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:
The Afghan government on Monday sought the United States support against alleged ‘rocket attacks’ by Pakistan.

Washington is bound to help Kabul to counter external threats under a strategic partnership agreement, Afghan officials said.

The Afghan foreign ministry said it has formally submitted a letter to the US Embassy in Kabul, informing it about the recent “Pakistani air strikes,” in Dangam district of Kunar.

The US Embassy in Kabul has not made any comments on the letter.

“Pakistani rocket attacks have continued on Afghanistan for years, causing human and material loses of Afghans,” the Afghan ministry’s letter said. A copy of the letter is available with The Express Tribune.

“This action is a flagrant violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty and is considered as a clear aggression on its soil,” the strong-worded letter said.

Afghan defense minister realized the ANA capabilities when it asked for its generals to gather for an attack and they came like this,

If america had any sense it would stay out of our way. We are doing what they have been asking of us and thats ridding the terrorists. I dont think America will even bat an eye and does afghanistan seriously expect USA to launch and invasion against us with them.

The best USA will do is condemn the incident. Otherwise this is in USA,s interests.

Enough is enough.Relationship tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan is caused by some external forces who don't want peace in the region. Today if both brother nations sit together and solve these tiny disputes with dialogue things ll get better and this ll be a great answer to those forces who sneak in and destroy our harmony. We gave blood for Afghanistan in war against Russia I hope they ll never forget their Mujahid brothers who fought for our brotherhood.:)

Well Pakistan Army is doing a good job defending Pakistan & Pakistan borders. Those rented terrorists were a threat & Pak Army acted accordingly. Rented Afghanis can go to hell who are crying on killing of these rented terrorists.

This is one of the reason that Washington itself did not want to sign the BSA in its current form , Karzai wanted absolute guarantee form America that America will fight on his behalf while he continues his shenanigans against Pakistan using terrorists like Fazlullah.

Obama made it clear in as many words in his West Point address when he said 'We have to understand that Afghanistan will not be a perfect place' , that meant that Americans are not going to fight on behalf of the Afghans , if its in America's interest to intervene then they will otherwise the afghans can go **** themselves

Pakistan is forcing them to reconsider the option of fencing the border
