Rise of Pakistan just a matter of time - Morgan Stanley

It's in Pakistan interest if they let go Kashmir issue for some 10 years, develop itself economically strong. Become strong enough to fight India back both economically and strategically at international level. Being a nuclear power Pakistan will have more influence than Turkey in world politics if it prosper economically. Being a proclaimed nuclear power, It can become leader of muslim countries leaving Saudis far behind.
Don't understand why Pakistani leader are so much short sighted.
Waiting for the day when a party would come in Pakistan who would promise Pakistan's development instead of freeing Kashmir.

that will never happen you should be happy they are not asking for Daccan.

it will take a decade just to accomplish a), b) and c) upto a satisfactory level. Because It takes atleast 3-5 years to implement a policy and the results come in next five years, and in the end of decade you can see how far the things have gone good.

If just a) b) and c) are satisfactory then it means nation is doing fine.. but unfortunately that is the only toughest task to do, as this is one of the back bones of economy. So it is just not a) b) and c) but this means Naya Pakistan :coffee:

On the broader scheme of things, 10 years isn't a very long time. It could be shorter if we elect proper leaders. In Gen. Musharraf's time - statistics spoke for themselves. Now of course there was some debt-forgiveness which alleviated pressures on the national exchechquer and the SBP but across the board Pakistan was a top performer in Asia.

I suggest you read the newly released report "Ease of Doing Business 2015"

:pakistan::pakistan: In the next decade pakistan will rise from the ground to the top

With the right leadership, we will be a rising star

Law and order. Just need to control the law and order situation.

Competent police and CCTV network across country. If your police isn't strong, you can't expect the army to do the job.

The young population is truly an asset of Pakistan, but only with the right 'software' in place. Otherwise a small section of this young population - if not granted access to sufficient public services/investment/human capital/jobs - could in turn become liabilities. But I reiterate, I see a good future for Pakistan. We need technocrats not the old style feudal "democratics"

Electing proper leaders is the most toughest decisions to make , it always revolves around that 'If' .

During Musharraf time the developing countries did not do great, rather developed countries were performing worst, the world was at the brick of recession.

Ease of doing business has lot's of parameters. India still does depend on old process and formalities to start a business, but it is a necessary evil. Of course there will be reforms after FDI and Make in India.

Pakistan needs to:

1. Get the electricity shortage under control.
2. Demolish the extremist infrastructure within the country (has that helped this nation EVER?)
3. Ensure a peaceful Karachi given it is our economic hub and country's lifeline.

If Pakistan can achieve the above, it will inshallah become the premier Muslim state in the world.

Kashmir issue is not one that is draining our economy. Troop presence is expensive but most of our resources are devoted towards the western sector at this time. Of course with indias provocations we have maintained a credible presence along the LoC to keep the indians in check. It costs money but then again the military has income streams that come about through army-run enterprises (which do pay taxes and CONTRIBUTE towards the national exchequer)

I have written extensively on the subject by the way and will be happy to provide you with figures.

The Kashmiri freedom struggle is one that simply will never be left alone till it is resolved. Be assured on that. The government may be short-sighted in other ways (we all know that) but there is a broad consensus that Kashmir is a national political issue and nobody will be "wishing it away" because to do so would be analogous to treason. And the Kashmiris themselves as well as the OIC and nation-states (like Turkiye) have been highly appreciative of our role in bringing to light their narrative.

With all due respect sir, I can't agree you more, minimum deterrence for any nation is as important as water or food. Pakistan should grow militarily, its important both for Pakistan and India, to defend itself from rouge elements.
But military's interference with Pakistan's policy is actual problem. Being a defense personnel myself, I know we never make good bureaucrat or politician. We like to do all work with stick only. That ain't work in world politics.

But if Pakistan keeps meddling in Kashmir, you will have to agree to me that India will try everything to keep Pakistan in problems, it could be support to TTP and Balochs. Pay media to malign Pakistan image internationally, with obvious help from Pakistani locals incidents. And believe me it will continue endlessly.

"Truth is Kashmir issue will never resolve, as India will never give it and Pakistan will never leave raking this issue."
We and our generation would keep fighting like this and Generals, Politicians and Bureaucrats will enjoy wealth, wine and lavish life.

Pakisttan needs to privties

Thanks to god we are strong enough to defend Pakistan from India, we don't need any pity from anyone

Nobody is feeling pity bro!! It was a humble suggestion only, to develop your country and let India develop more too. Our military is draining too much resources.

that will never happen you should be happy they are not asking for Daccan.

What's Daccan?? Maybe you are referring to Deccan and if it's so, Thanks for their generosity:p:

  1. Privatize every thing will save lot of our money and it will become assets and not liability.

  5. In every department only people of that experts can run that department.
  6. Every area where education is not 50% or above Govt give time frame of 10 years and asked local politician to take that literacy to 50 % or they will not get any seat in national assembly and provincial assembly. and after 10 year it will revise to 60% and then after every five year it will revised to 10% increase till its reach to 90%.
