Revenge Pron: In a first, 5-year jail for Indian man who shared nude video of ex girlfriend

Such touchy reaction seems like u have done such photo and video leaks.

In india out of marriage relations IF are not ciminalized then there has to be the need of a system in place to control such behaviors else it will destroy relationships and will be v detrimental IMO .same goes for any society that legalizes out of wedlock relationships. So in that context 5 yrs is fine
And in any given case disclosing girls contact numbers etc dont matter someones privacy has been breached and thats what matters.

Now if it comes to marital relationship then in that case i believe even 10 yrs of a punishment and a must divorce are still less.

What did I say about the guy ? "asshoal thing to do" "should be punished" "disgusting, immoral, wrong..."

My point was that these days public memory is short, spl about stuff like this.. so unless her name, identification, home address, email, ph no etc had been disclosed.. its not that big a crime that deserves 5 years in jail. I mean, leaked seks and nude vids are almost a ticket to fame in some cases... and she obviously gave him permission to take those vids so there was some lack of responsibility on her part too (though I'm not blaming her, clearly she is the victim and the guy was a scumbag for doing what he did)

but given what we know about the incident, 5 years is still a bit much IMO

and I'm pretty sure there are laws against adultery in India.. from wiki:

Section 497 of the Indian Penal Code deals with Adultery. As per the Indian law, a woman cannot be punished for the offence of adultery. Only a man who has consensual sexual intercourse with the wife of another man without his consent can be punished under this offense in India.

acc to ur adultery law a woman cant be punished for it but a man who has it with another married woman can be punished.

So if indian constitution allows adultery then it means it allows the relationships out of a martiage bond. So in that light ur court gave the guy a punishment which wasnt so wrong.

But yeah ur adultery law is super sexist and stupid why just punish man?
