Najam Sethi who is a establishment favourite these days has predicted this and other tweets by informed journalists are pointing towards the same scenario too.

What benefits could Pakistan as a state gain by having Mr. Haqqani back to represent us?

Hussain Haqqani has a long history on actively campaigning against the interest of the Pakistani state. This would obviously mean a sort of submission of the Pakistani state.

The only logical conclusion to this new found grand vision would be to have Tarek Fatah also on-board.

Interesting. I’ve known Mr. Haqqani for quite some time now. Before covid he used to be a regular visitor here in Delhi and we have always had amazing conversations. Clear headed, humble and never came across to me as a traitor as people here characterise him.

He is our "Traitor", not yours.

Splendid. I don't know what deal the PDM struck with the establishment, but this sort of neutrality will only come back to bite everyone back in the behind and then lead the army to become un-neutral.

I have to admit that it was heartening to see the lava boiling and erupting as it did during the east Pakistan assembly. My only question is, what will you do with this defense. As a matter of fact, our prime minister is a money launderer. It is impossible to have an army without a nation or a country. The country must be saved before it breaks apart. The country is heading exactly in the same direction as Eastern Pakistan, where a fight breaks out in the assembly and the country turns into Bangladesh. Looks like Dawar is going to be the new minister of defense. Look at his tweets and you will see why.
