Pakistan really needs to sort out its airport security and check in procedures.
A few months ago coming back from Lahore this is what I went through.
1- Entrance: All bags scanned including hand luggage and passport checked transit through a metal detector.
2- Check In: Fined Rs3600 for 1Kg over limit on PIA. (Still have the receipts as memorabilia). Will never ever fly with them again.
3- From Check In counter through FIA desks: Bags scanned again and metal detector testing. As if I randomly found contraband and drugs during check in.
4- Re-weighing of my hand luggage. (I still don't know why)
Countless idiots approaching me for bypassing queues in exchange for money; and then the irony that they were selling access to lounges with the added benefit of having a smoke while waiting in the lounge. This inside an airport which has countless signs of no-smoking dotted around the area.
How can Pakistan expect tourism to flourish when you have vultures everywhere in position ready to pounce on people.
Still cannot believe I was fined for 1Kg
