if someone hit you with a stone - it is not necessary that you reply in a same fashion. I have been very much disappointed by the reaction of some Pakistani members who seemed to be Jealous or fed up with Solomon. I always found him a very nice guy with nuteral opinion for most of the times. If he is leaving the forum - if you can't do anything at least say him a farewell in a better way.

At least temporarily. Given the popular support of the GoP's bans of Facebook, Wikipedia, and more, it appears that Pakistani society is intent on closing its eyes, ears, and mind to anything that challenges the community to grow and flower beyond its currently stunted state.
If this keeps up I doubt even PDF will survive much longer, at least as anything other than an echo chamber of sorts. I may return when and if the FB and Wiki bans are lifted.

My opinion on a personal level is that the reasoning behind your leaving the forum is flawed. If your concerns lie around the forced censorship of certain online content by the GoP (concerns which I and many others share), then removing yet another 'dissenting voice' and a different POV from a forum with a large audience in Pakistan, in addition to the Pakistani diaspora, is only exacerbating the effect of the GoP decision.

I don't agree with a lot of what you have to say, and in fact I banned you permanently at one point, only to realize later that the decision to ban you was based on the fact that I disagreed vehemently with your opinions, and not because you had violated any particular forum rules.

Hope you reconsider. I mean, if we tolerated someone like S-2 for so long then you are a piece of cake
