A report on the website edrmagazine.eu indicates that the Israeli company Raphael intends to offer South Korea its future RCM, called NGCV-S (Next-Generation Combat Vehicle Suite) to South Korea, as part of the future battlefield project of the South Korean army Tiger 4.0 for dealing with rivals Next-generation systems owners A key component of the project is the upgrade of the South Korean Army's armored vehicles, first to improve their protection and firepower, then to improve their efficiency through networking based energy management and radio systems.

“The NGCV-S is a system we brought to maturity quite recently here in Raphael, and now we are offering it to South Korea,” says Udi N., Marketing Manager at Raphael Maneuvering Systems Director. As a holistic and modular solution, many parts of which have been developed to meet military needs, the NGCV-S is expandable and includes all the components that the Tiger 4.0 program seeks when it comes to vehicle modernization.

"One of our main advantages is that we offer a complete solution sourced from one company, which makes it much easier for OEMs (the original equipment manufacturer) to manage the upgrade program. The One-Stop Shop solution makes integration easy and cost-effective," adds Udi N. .

The site notes that Raphael is probably the only or one of the few companies that can offer a protection solution that includes an active, passive and responsive system. "Our windbreaker system is a proven combat advantage [with the IDF], and due to the reduction in weight and size, it can be adapted from 6 × 6 vehicles to major battle tanks."

The Haifa company was a pioneer in the elements of reactive protection, and it still improves its reactive and passive protection packages, reduces weight and increases protection, which is now above level 6, and ventral kits to improve mine and cargo protection are also part of the company's product portfolio.

"On the subject of lethal weapons, we offer our 'Samson' turret family, from which we have sold over 6,000 items in the last three decades," says Udi N. Emphasizes that most of the customers belong to NATO. The company offers existing solutions for light to medium calibers, with the option of integrating Spike's 5th generation missile system, a solution that already exists in a 30 RCWS turret that is usually armed with a 30mm Northrop Grumman Mk44 Bushmaster II.

Aside from medium- to long-range versions of the Spike, which give the car a non-lethal range, Rafael also offers the FireFly Spike, a 3-kg rotary-armed rover with a 30-minute operating time, capable of providing real-time situational awareness before diving into The goal is to destroy it.

Edrmagazine.eu emphasizes that adding these systems will definitely improve the capabilities of combat vehicles in South Korea, but the real power multiplier is the battle management system, which includes a number of solutions derived from developments developed for the Israeli Carmel 8 × 8 program. The company's work on computerized 3D scenarios and digitization of all sensors and developers has led to the development of various systems, the main one being the Fire Weaver combat system that allows simultaneous connection of all sensors and shooters in a GPS-free environment where the exact location is determined by a pixel adapter.
