Remote-controlled parliament not acceptable: Nawaz
Updated : Saturday March 7 , 2009 5:33:11 PM
FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif Saturday said that the Islamabads parliament was fake and being operated by president Zardari through remote control.
Addressing a big rally held here, Nawaz said the people of Pakistan has rejected the Supreme Court verdict as they are the real judiciary. The former premier appealed people to come out on March 16 to safeguard the future of Pakistan.
Nawaz said the politics of hypocrisy and fraud would not be lasted. He said PML-N signed Charter of Democracy with PPP for the stability of the country, however Zardari broke all the promises and persuaded dictatorial policies of Musharraf.
Shahbaz Sharif is still the legitimate and constitutional chief minister of Punjab, he stated.
Zardari broke all the promises, gave a royal protocol to Musharaff, ignored the public mandate, dishonored the judiciary and made the parliament remote-controlled, he said.
