Relocating Armoured Corps Centre?

Are you expecting a massive invasion from Iran?

Sindh,Punjab,Gilgit-Baltistan/Azad Kashmir etc bordered directly with India. Don't worry Army is strong :sniper:

I am not worried about the strength of the Army, neither is there present danger from the current Iranian regime. However, Pakistan is located in an area where there is going to be major geo-political and geo-stratigic realignments in the coming decades. We are already facing a pro India, anti Pakistan, Afghanistan and the hostile intentions have been evident from day one when the Northern Alliance took over Kabul. Every terrorism taking place in Pakistan is being conducted through Afghanistan, this will not go away over night.

The regime in Iran is losing grip day by day, as it is being surrounded by the hounds, how long will it be able to withstand it? There is no guarentee that IF there is a regime change in Iran, it will be in favour of Pakistan. Pakistan must look towards securing Balochistan, as the evil forces implement there own agenda. This current wave you see in the Country, is just the begining, the eye of the storm is still to come.

With the discovery of $260 bilion of Copper and Gold deposits in a small part of Balochistan, the International terrorists are not going to let Pakistan extract it peacefully, just the dirty neigbour to the East, India, will not be able to stomach a developed Pakistan. Imagine the deposits in other parts of the Province waiting to be exploited.

Then the same problem again with Gilgit-Baltistan, a new corp needs to be raised here aswell to check the threat from Afghanistan. A dedicated Azad Kashmir Corp needs to compliment the Mangla Corp as well. Just look at the 2005 Earthquake. The government and the armed forces where completely unaware of the extent of destruction in Azad Kashmir for many days.

Pakistan's Armed Forces need to sit and look at the situation and brainstorm the coming decades and how they will respond to the challenges. There needs to be a comprehensive review of the all the areas of defence.

The shifting (if any) would be because of the flood. So let's tone down the mirch masala.

the security of such sites and assets is the responsibility of the interior ministry along with the civilian law-enforcement agencies. as far as the afghan/pak border goes, corps based at pwe and quetta along with the para-military strength of the FC and scouts shd be adequate - PAF has three squadrons based at pwe and samugli. we shd be ok.

Pakistan Army has decided in principle to relocate the Armoured Corps Centre and school from Nowshera to Bahawalpur.

Heard this on Dawn News. There is no official version on this as of now. But i personally think it is a good move.

maybe they can just keep both?

.
Armed forces only have focus on punjab more than other once if it is sindh why they push it up in punjab if they want to relocate it why not some other place in sindh why always punjab for army

Hi,the official version is saying that it is because of the floods but in reality the relocation is becuase it is located along a busy road or some other city centre adn the risk of a suicide bomb there is very high...so it is safety reasons....but to prevent the public backlash it has been said that floods were the cause.

.
Wont it be financially upset?
Better use the budget to build another one and lets keep this too. Would be better for the Army Personnel living there.

Regards.

it would be.....that is why the floods are being blamed but the old one is a security hazard and thats why it is being relocated

Armour, Artillery, ASC, MCE and PAF Academy are all in KPK since decades. You never mentioned 'overburdening' KPK with fauji installations then? Do you even know how many schools/ centers are not in Punjab?
