Iraq before the 2003 invasion wasn't a Shia majority country. A grand door was opened to Iran after US messed up good in Iraq. What Iran did was exporting Shia citizens in Iraq in order to manipulate the numbers to gain controle of the governship in Iraq - creating an oil rich puppet country.

And besides, even if the Sunnis are minority today, we are talking about a huge minority. I would guess around 35-40% atleast.

Non-Sunni majority areas laid down their weapons soon after US invasion of Iraq, Sunni areas didn't do it because of majority of Sunni Army personal, hence most of them got bombarded and a lot got killed, their is a fear that deaths of Sunni's which were already above a million have spiked under Shia regime's offensives in different regions. I am not saying that Shia were not killed in US invasion or by ISIS. but right now their is a mass genocide of Sunni's going on and Shia are a part of that. If one thinks that "ISIS" will give up Musul easily, then they are living in a world of idiots. "ISIS" is not going out until majority of Muslims is turned into a minority. if you don't know, none of the Sunni soldier is sent to Musul.

i am feeling that Mosul will fall after US president election, till the time Donald trump will use it as a political moto and by the way The military-industrial complex needs an active shooting war to justify purchasing of new equipment. As per the latest Turkish media reports Reis Erdo’an has evoked Misak-i Milli (national oath), upon which the Turkish Independence War was fought, in the case of Musul. In plain words, no stone will remain unturned to ensure the safety of ~2m people in Musul. The most ferocious and cruel Shia militias are mobilized for Musul operation. In the last Hutbe they have vowed to take revenge for Hazret-i Husein (RA), i.e., the bloodbath of the Sunni folks. By the by, Musul is the last Sunni city standing before the total capitulation. Iraqi Sunni Arab and Turkmen folks are left with nowhere to go. These are the harbinger of the final “Muslim vs Muslim” sectarian war which has the potential to spread all over the region. The mass exodus that will follow will dwarf the Syrian crisis. Turkey has no other option but to put a stop to this madness. La Galibe Illallah…

As usual, it's up to the Turkish folks to crush these mad dogs for nobody can be more mad-maxes then the Turks. If Muslims don't want to see tanks within the Haremain, they need to support Turkey. Don't worry these cowards will be shown their places for the Turkish folks are the custodians of the swords of the Prophet (PBUH) and the four Halifes (RA) being preserved in Istanbul. As for Musul, Delhi is far away...

Iranians are LIARS....Why do you need a full fledged militia to counter ISIS.......Iranians can do this with help of Turks..joint special ops. etc.

Surrounding whole city with civilians in it is nothing but a full scale attack aimed not at ISIS but on civilians....

May Allah help innocents trapped in city...

We should pray for Turks that they succeed in safeguarding that city against Iranian backed militia...
