Ok.... a few questions on being once recommended but not selected in the final interview. Medically fit.

Branch: GDMO (medical)

1. I think MBBS considered a 16 years education degree?

2. What is twice screening out? Does it mean "being not selected in final interview" ?

3. If it is then does it mean applying again is my last chance after MBBS?

4. Is it possible that once recommended candidate would not be recommended due to any reason in the next chance ( after 4 months) or not even get a call for interview?

5. Regarding female candidates;
To get an idea to prepare and perform better, need to know that if the preference for wives/daughter of PAF personnel could be quantified in numbers/scores, say if I start at zero (having no PAF husband or father), what is their advantage [( select from 1-10) like is it 2.5 more scores or 5 more etc]

6. Regarding reappearnce. Will some score be deducted?
What is my disadvantage against newly appearing candidates. ( select from minus 1-10)

7. Other than the academic and intelligence test which is measured in numbers, the two interviews which are considered more important. Do they score us in the interview, specially final interview? like give numbers???

8. Do you think applying again is a good idea? ( think from the point of view of a GDMO not as a GDP)

9. What kind of specific questions are expected if you are applying again?

Please someone having real knowledge, answer these questions . :-)

if you are a good doctor from a decent medical college then stay away from military . period.

It means applying for the airforce, passing the initial selection and being bot recommended in ISSB two times.
If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
On a side note, don't join the forces if you have a decent degree, you are better off in civvie street.

Medically fit- But are you mentally fit? Since you are on PDF, -ve points for that

2) Twice screening = Yes

5) Having a PAF boy friend helps. @Windjammer is still available. HURRY!

6) Depends on your make up, and how crooked your teeth are.

7) Numbers - hmmm best if I don't answer

8) Very good idea if you are NOT haramkhoor. Other wise FBR, FIA, NAB are better options.

9) DO you suffer from OCD?

I dont know if there is a quantified method to prefer someone have immediate family in the airforce, preference is given to spouses etc as a rule of thumb but that doesn't mean that others don't stand a chance.
The selection of doctors is pretty relaxed from what I have heard so it shouldn't be too hard provided there are no major issues.

They would typically ask "why do you think you were not recommended last time and how have you tried to migitate the problem.?" or something along these lines.

Haha. I understand period. I mean, a very short explanation should be given before bringing down the morale.

is nt any difference between these: rejection and screening out. I

  • Twice rejected by inter services Selection board (ISSB)/ General Headquarters (GHQ) or Naval Headquarters (NHQ) or Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board (third chance for specific higher qualification courses only)
  • Twice screened out by ISSB / any Service Selection Board

Is the interview by first AHQ special selection board and stamped recommended on DMC considered initial selection??

bad main complain na kerna kay kisi nay guide nae kia tha .military is for mediocre lot and not for educated people with brains. they always feel mis fit in military environment. i know many sword of honors of CAE who opted for pre mature retirement from air force. before joining air force i will recommend you to have a sitting with a someone who has served or serving as a doctor in military. military today is not what you see on TV. it is better then majority of the civilian organizations in pak but majority of the time and energies are spent in doing hyporcrisy, leg pulling, making careers. etc. if you are good at saying "yes sir" to every idiotic order then you must join military. dont get fooled by the programes like "mahaaz" by wajahat saedd khan
so i suggest do specialization in a field of your choice . go abroad and live like a human being. what can be expected in a country where people elect NS and zardaris as their leaders.
