Note world wide the standard rate for bus is 1.5 Dollar to 2.0 Dollar
Which comes to about 200 Rupees per trip

We are running our bus on 2 Pennies per trip so we need to fix the Ticket rate
to make world Bus trip prices

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has suggested the cabinet to increase metro bus fare by Rs10, reported Dunya News on Sunday.

It has been proposed in the draft that the ticket price should be surged from Rs20 to Rs30. The final decision will be taken by the Punjab cabinet.

Punjab Minister for Transport Jahanzeb Khan Khichi stated that it has been suggested to hike the prices from July in next fiscal year.

Let it be known that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had earlier rejected the proposal of increasing metro bus fare, and the suggestion has been made by the Punjab Mass Transit Authority for the second time.

The price should be raised. But such infrastructure is created to facilitate masses not to profit from it. Most public facilities all over the world are suffering loses.

No it is to make Profit , the infrastructure cost needs to be repaid

Current Ticket Price is Rupee 20 , per trip equal to mere 0.02 Pennies per Trip this is unrealistic ratio

Daily ridership 180,000-220,000
220,000 x 20 rupee x 2 = 8,800,000 Rupees (Daily)
3.2 Billion Rupees in 365 days


In Western World Minimum Bus fare is 2 Dollar !!
So it should be at least 200 Rupees per Trip



Daily ridership 180,000-220,000
220,000 x 200 rupee x 2 = 88,000,000 Rupees (Daily)
32 Billion Rupees in 365 days




32 Billion > 3.2 Billion

We need to charge what the actual price is for Ticket

Example when you buy Pepsi in Pakistan or in USA it cost same!!!
When you buy McDonalds in Pakistan or USA it roughly still cost same!!

We need to charge real price why ?

a) Bus needs repair , Oil Service , and Clean up
b) Contract money for Turkish operators who run it need to be paid
c) Stations need to be maintained
d) New Buses need to be ordered ​

If people can't pay 200 rupee per trip might as well ride on a donkey cart
Air Condition Bus & And Elevated Infrastructure did not come free need to be repaid

With arrival of Electricity / and Transmission lines , and Industrial zones it is fully expected that companies will start to run Day /Evening Shifts

Present Pakistan , lacks Electricity so businesses were forced to shut down at 5 pm and many industrial complex only operate 8 hours

Industrial world outside Pakistan runs 24 hour shifts (3 Shifts)

• Day 8-5
• Evening 4-12
• Night 12-8

Production Increase is Expected in

>Textile
>Coal Production
>Energy Plants running/output
>Dam Construction (Can be done Day/Night Shift)
>Steel Factories /Railways/PIA can run 24 hours a day
>Even Bank Branches would open later in night creating extra shift work

I want to know where are the reforms that IK promised before elections? I understand why he had go to IMF because previous gov. Left nothing.

The culprits are roaming in the country, why are they not in jails? Why no money/assets being recovered atleast within the country, forgot the swiss banks?

Indeed. Foreign Pakistanis think the middle and poor class are living in luxuries and not giving tax at all. The basic salary here is 15K rupees. Tell me how the heck he is supposed to feed his family with all these taxes?

Medical?high prices
Petrol? High prices
Electricity and gas ? High prices
Grocery too in Ramadan? High prices.

There is no relief for humans in this country excluding the rich.

Only a stunted growth will compare fares in western countries with fares in Pakistan. ---- stunted growth should know the difference in purchasing power.

Also the all time favorite comparison with India, stunted growth deliberately forgot this time. --- delhi metro fare 10-60, mumbai metro 10-40 indian rupee ( if an Indian member could confirm this)
