because people take this movie seriously

The concept worked with this first one because of all the cold war paranoia, but it simply isn't the same with China, even if they are our closest geopolitical competitor nowadays.

Of course then they changed it to North Korea and now it is a real lollerfest.

North Korean military is supposedly distributing PLA uniforms obtained as surplus items, this is the cause of PLA troop sighting in North Korea in recent days.
