Recent Saudi Achievements in Nanotechnology Center KAIN

KAIN a recently established Nanotechnolgy research centers have announced some of its recent accomplishments , I will put those here:

First: Designing and production of several Nano Microships and software related to them in the "Virtual Hospital System" Project:

This System will enable cheap and portable on the go checks for several medical tests including Complete Blood Count, Electrocardiogram, Blood Sugar Levels etc. Analyze it and then inform the patient of dangerous levels, Medication Efficacy etc. Without having to get a Doctor's appointment. And then after all that the readings will be sent to the Hospital the patient goes to to put it in patient's file.

This system will hopefully reduce total hospital visits needed by patients by about 30-50%. Also this system once fully complete can be used in remote areas for setting up of a "One bag Hospital system" which will help national and international disaster relief and charity efforts.

Second: Nano Medications Developed:

1- Modified and Nano Enhanced version of Gliclazide:

The Anti-Diabetic Drug Gliclazied is heavily used by Diabetic patients to control their diabetes, The new modified version using Nano Technology has increased its absorption and Efficacy which in turn has led to the reduction of the dose needed and thus reduce and almost completely eradicate its adverse side effects and also cost of treatment significantly.

2- Modified and nano Enhanced version of Naproxen:

In a similar way as Gliclazide the Drug has been enhanced to increase absorption and efficacy of Naproxen which is used to treat connective tissue inflammation And completely eradicate its side effects and reduce the cost of making of the drug and of treatment as well.

Third: New Types of Paint using Nanotechnology:


A new format of Paint developed with collaboration of Al-Jazeerah Paints Company have been developed that is Resistant to the extreme weather conditions of heat and humidity found in Saudi Arabia, Also this paint has been developed in such a way that you will require only half the amount typically needed to paint the same exact surface area of any other paint available in the market.

Also machines were designed and manufactured to produce this new type of paints in economic volumes for both local consumption and export.

And all our achievements are recorded and patented as we are a part of this world (If you want us to use the Patents topic I will more then gladly humor you in this aspect, in fact it will be my pleasure). Our media is more concerned with bashing our government to make it better instead of glorifying it like a make-shift God. See the difference or do you want me to explain it again?

What makes you think our media is not criticizing government?you could visit them (mainly Persian language sites) and that how they are bashing Ahmadinejad and his government everyday.
Besides,our achievements in nano too are published by nano centers,not government,but some people just start barking the second they see Iran's achievement in any field and spit nonsense about it like it's propaganda,lie and blah blah.But it's not actually important though,because these kinds of people have always been existed.

At last,I don't have any obsessions with Saudi 'revolutionary' achievements on Nano,congrats to you for that.Unlike you,we are not filled with hatred.Just wanted to remind you how your actions taste for us and what hypocrisy is.
