Reasons behind the early retirement of Abdul Basit, Pakistani ambassador in India

Sorry to say this but he was a failure...he was the reason why the first India - Pakistan talks were scuttled. He knew that the then new Modi government would not appreciate him meeting Hurriyat, but he did exactly that and forced India to cancel the talks. At least he should have picked a leaf from Sharif's book where Sharif didn't meet Hurriyat while in he was in Modi's swearing in ceremony.

Why are you guys into personality cults of government servants? He was following GOP will as is his supreme duty. If he was was acting on his own then Pakistans entire diplomatic setup is a failure.

Also trying to suck up to Chinese on Bhutan is just servile. I wont blame him personally for it.

Don't blame all on basit Indian mindset is never been and never will be for table talks their mindset is to create havoc violence in region than why India engaging China do u blame Chinese ambassador for that now

Abdul basit is one of the best we have he represented Pak cause with dignity he never suppressed his countries dignity in India i salute him

Reason is again basterd ganja telling him to resign and unnecessary pressure because for him countries dignity is more important than nawaz Sharif business in india

Hahaha he knew how to handle India and their troll media very well. He is set to be promoted for a bigger role.
 
...if earning browni points is THE ONLY responsibility of pakistani ambassador, then full marks to basit.
But the ambassadors of rest of Countries have greater responsibility. Poor they.
 
I think he should stay on as our Ambassador in India now with Ganja Nawaz Shareef, the lover of India, has bitten the dust. The way he troll India in its own backyard, that in itself is a treat.

He wasn't a coward like nawaz shareef, don't worry he will get a new assignment.
