The upcoming 2-3 years should bring in economic recovery as our energy crisis will be dealt with due to

a) Electricty projects completion
b) Electricty import projects from Iran
c) Completion of gas pipeline from Iran
d) Gas pipeline project from Tajakistan (5 years)


Together with resolution of water issue with India and eradication of taliaban mentality should help economy recover greatly.

The only thing that is missing is a SOLAR ENERGY DRIVE

I mean a serious ... 2-3 billion dollar worth of energy goals for solar power

I do see if we go solar and all the energy problems are hadled if we managed to cut our population by 5-10% due to birth control

The economy will reach 200 Billion-300 Billin mark with no problem with amount of items we export out

Yes it will but i don't see the resolution of water crisis being sorted out anytime soon. It will take some time and expect little bit of relief after the completion of under construction dams.

Bad Idea........... go and read about Solar energy first........... we should concentrate on Coal, Nuclear and Hyder power projects only keeping the low budget in mind. I would agree on Wind power projects if Turkish firms are willing to install more plants in Pakistan. No solar for now its way too expensive - we can have a lot more wind power projects instead if we were go to for solar energy which is a lot more cheaper

You have mentioned 2-3 billion dollars right? go and research how much electricity you can generate with 3 billion dollars investment on Coal, Nuclear, Solar and Wind.......... trust me you will change your mind yourself before coming back to reply again.

200-300 Billion dollars in what? you mean Nominal GDP? Yes 200 billion dollars by 2015 is possible but 300 billion dollars is way too much to dream about.
