Government needs a 10 year plan to select talents from even remotest part of the country, and train them to compete in global level.

Infrastructure for things like Badminton, Archery, Wrestling and athletics is there now.

But a very huge number of medals come from aquatics and gymnastics, of which I doubt if we have even 5 Olympic size pools in India. Need to invest resources here.

Good show in wrestling, winning 12 medals in 12 categories of wrestling. Every individual won. Best wishes to them in upcoming Asian Games.

Yeah but it needs to be done selectively. Focus on regions which specialise in certain sports

KPK- Equestrian, Shooting,
Pak Punjab/Indian Punjab/Haryana- Wrestling, Boxing
Armed Forces (both sides)- Shooting, Wrestling, Boxing
Indian Hill areas/NE- Lower weight category weightlifting and various martial sports
Bengal/Sindh/Coastal, island areas- Swimming, Rowing events
