KARACHI: Rangers forces conducted a targeted search operation early Wednesday morning in areas surrounding Nine Zero — the MQM’s headquarters — near Mukka Chowk in Karachi’s Azizabad area.

Entry and exit routes leading to Mukka Chowk had been sealed off while sources said Rangers personnel had cordoned off a house in the vicinity.
Speaking to Geo News, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that such an operation at a political party’s head office was “inappropriate and beyond understanding”.
“MQM has itself always maintained its policy of zero tolerance against crime and terrorism, and it has always offered to cooperate,” he said.

Sattar said such actions were “perplexing" and were meant to "push a peaceful political party against the wall”.
Details of the operation details were unclear as a Rangers spokesman could not be reached for the comment.

Media was also restricted to outside Mukka Chowk and was not being allowed inside the area where the operation was being carried out.

Bingo so Rangers finally strike at main hideout of terrorist known as MQM

. .
After months of backchannel efforts to get the MQM to play pony and dangling a few carrots, the Military is finally going to use the stick to get them in line.
Finally something good Karachi need peace enough of MQM bullshi#

whats this new drama, MQM is said to be Army's strategic asset, a retired General confessed a while back..

p.s. I think nothing would come out of this as always.

Raids at any politician of pmln/ppp shall yield same results, ishtehari, criminals, murderers, terrorists, all involved in organized crimes... so if the operation must be done, it must also be done in punjab/ interior sindh.

p.s.

Rangers are under Interior Sindh Govt, so who is controlling the operation?

You are singing the right song , if rangers can go 90 , then it must go & do the same thing on bilawal house & pair pagara house in Karachi ?
Its more of a exercise to show the biggest player in Karachi that rangers are bigger then everyone ?
But just going against a minnor criminal & letting zardari & others dance around will only bring bad name to our defence forces ?
The reputation is much important & the local ground support always play key role to archive the written objectives.

. .
Great strategy, good move to hit the hub of MQM terrorism.
You think that's first time happening there ?
It happened already many times , MQM knew it will happen some day nothing will be found there & this action will bring a huge dent to the repution of the rangers who are just following the PPP & PMLn given screen plays ?
