Rajputana Corner.

Lol man he and farrago both have light eyes.

It seems no Rajput blog have mentioned your clan. Is your clan really small ?

All i was able to find is this historical figure

Unfortunately i dont much about Muslims of haryana.

There is a small muslim dominated region of mewat where all claims Rajput origin but only friction lf them are rajputs rest are jats.

Today rajputs are just 3.7% at max in haryana as majority moved to pakistan in 47.

Chohan is your surname not gotra. Gotra is a paternal loneage from Vedic Aeyans who wrote vedas and taught everything to Brahmin and Rajput children. Majority of Brahmins aond some rajpts like me are descendants of these 8 rishis.
Actually everything got messed as our elders became muslims. So, no matter what, we simply are missing with many pieces. Btw chohan is not the surname we use :-). Its our belief that we are Rajputs of Karnal, moved to Pakistan back in 1947.

.
SO a chamar like you is goig to teach me my own history ? Go on, i am all ears.
Rajput is not a cast of people but a title for those who belonged to the bloodline of Maharajas and Rajas, There are 1000s who fall under this title. One Indian film said that Rajput apna wachan khabi nahi torta and you made it a cast. Better read history than dramatic movies.

#gharwapsi

Same thing happened to my brahmin friend as well, his granddad and dad had no interest in history so when they move back from US to India he had no evidence to prove that he is a brahmin beside janeu/safed dhaga. Thankfully he was able to recover some deta from his relatives later.

I am bless by gods here. Since last 1100 years we are land lords and at one point owned bunch of jagirs in Sorath/Kathiyawar. Now we still have pur haveli and land but villahes are under Indian gov control. Pee still give us same amount of respect though

May Rajputs don't even have any blood relations among them. It is a society title just like bhramans or Sir. It is a status title. Now I am Rajput as well but you are no relative of mine lol.

. .
Bhatti, what of them?
They are Rajputs as well and one of the most ferocious one.

They are the descendants of Rai Mohla who single handed took out 126 men in a war.

I am proud rajput(dont know which type though) and I am blessed that my elders took a right decision. The only thing that went wrong was disconnection from our past and ancestory.

I’m going to make this my corner now you caste obsessed narrow minded dimwit

Can you please tell us something about Muslim Rajputs of Haryana(by then East Punjab), who moved to Pakistan. I my self one of them with Chohan as goth. We speak "Rangri".
According to the census of 1901 the population of Muslim Rajputs was described as :

"The whole Province of Punjab had a 24.4 million population in 1901, of which the Muslim Rajputs numbered 1,505,586. In 1901, the Punjab comprised five administrative divisions — Delhi, Jullunder, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi — and a number of princely states. During the course of the Census, those districts that lay across the Indus which formed the Peshawar Division were formed into a new province named the North West Frontier Province. Geographically, the province was a triangular tract of country of which the Indus River and its tributary the Sutlej formed the two sides up to their confluence, the base of the triangle in the north being the Lower Himalayan Range between those two rivers. Moreover, the province as constituted under British rule also included a large tract outside these boundaries. Along the northern border, Himalayan ranges divided it from Kashmir and Tibet. On the west it was separated from the North-West Frontier Province by the Indus, until it reached the border of Dera Ghazi Khan District, which was divided from Baluchistan by the Sulaiman Range. To the south lay Sindh and Rajputana, while on the east the rivers Jumna and Tons separated it from the United Provinces."

More details as to the origin and distribution of the some Rajputs tribes:

Tribe /Population /Distribution
Bhatti
/249,302 /throughout Punjab, but special concentrations in Bhatiana (Firuzpur/Hissar/Sirsa), Bhatiore (Jhang/Chiniot), Gujranwala and Rawalpindi
Chauhan/ 114,529 /Modern Haryana (especially Karnal and Panipat), Ambala, and central Punjab – the Karnal, Rohtak and Rewari Chauhan are a Ranghar tribe.
The term Ranghar is very rarely used by the community itself, who prefer the self-designation Muslim Rajput . The Ranghar were classified as an "agricultural tribe" by the British Raj administration.
The Ranghar can be roughly divided into sub-groups, conveniently divided by the Yamuna river. Those to the west of the river remained as pastoralists much longer than the Yamuna Ranghar, who were all settled agriculturist by the start of the 19th century. The partition of India further divided these two groups, with the trans Yamuna Ranghar emigrating to Pakistan, while those of the Doab region remaining in India.

In Haryana, the Ranghar spoke a dialect of their own, called Ranghari, which is itself a dialect of Haryanvi, and many in Pakistan still use the language. Those of Uttar Pradesh speak Khari Boli among themselves, and Urdu with outsiders.

Khokhar/ 108,239/ Jhang, Jhelum, Hoshiarpur, Sialkot and Gurdaspur
Sial /104,658 /Jhang, Multan and other parts of South Punjab
Joiya/ 61,438/ Along the banks of the Sutlej from Multan to Firuzpur extending to Hissar and Sirsa
Panwar/ 55,068/ Rohtak, Karnal, Jind and Hissar (the eastern group); Bahawalpur, Multan and Muzaffargarh (the western group) – the eastern group are a Ranghar tribe
Gondal/ 36,088/ The Gondal Bar (Mandi Bahaudin, Gujrat and Sargodha), also in Rawalpindi
Naru/ 34,152/ mainly in what is now India Punjab – Jallandhar and Ludhiana
Ghorewaha /33,295 /mainly in what is now India Punjab – Hoshiarpur, Jallandhar and Ludhiana

Chamar like you ? We Chamars are much better than you people. Rajputs are worlds most arrogant , women opressive people.

Really?

Wish I could give a positive rating for this. You really solved many of questions. My nana ji were from Rohtak (Jalwana) and Dada ji was from Karnal(Habri town). We speak Ranghri.

Aishwarya Rai has blue-green :

I have seen only one grey eyes. Years ago when I was studying in NIIT computer institute there was a female teacher who had them. She wore spectacles and the eye color wasn't noticeable. Once she removed the spectacles and I saw the real eye color. Grey.

Back to Ash for a bit. The first photo is from a Quora page[1]. It has some interesting and funny anecdote :
I remember knowing about Aishwarya Rai much before she entered Bollywood because she was already a mesmerising beauty and an aspiring model. She was studying in Mumbai JaiHind College (Churchgate) during that time and fame of her beauty, especially her eyes, was so much that south Mumbai college goers would gather outside JaiHind College’s gates to just witness her beauty when she leaves the college at 1 pm.

JaiHind college authorities would have to appoint extra security on gates during that time.

I heard this story back in 1993–94 (I was in 7th Std. then). My sister who was studying class of 11th (FYJC) in Vile Parle told me about these stories.

Then Miss India happened, Miss World and Bollywood followed.

And yes, brown and light-brown are not so rare in the South.

I think it was Aishwarya’s character as Sanju in a Pepsi ad (along with Aamir Khan) that earned her the fame.
