Snipers are trained to be stealthy and they camouflage well...blending into their surroundings. Their presence is not noticed(especially in a terrain like the LoC) until they fire a shot. After which they move location right away. Even after they fire a shot...it is hard to pinpoint location of where the shot came from... unless a device like the Israeli "Boomerang" is used.

We have not had any casualities from sniper attacks in over 6 months.Massive change from teh time when we had dragunovs only.
It stops pak snipers as now indian posts have sniper rifles with equal or better range for countersniping.

Yes they do.Especially in well known areas of LOC where posts are close enough for effective small arms sniper fire.The mere presence of countersniping ability deters action.No free rides left for pak snipers.

Pakistani snipers have world record of the longest shot and have won international sniping competitions. Our people learn to use rifles before they can walk. They are born marksmen. AKs are more common in Pakistan than cows in your country. We make copies of M4s that even Colt cannot tell the difference.

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army soldiers have won an international sniping and shooting competition in Beijing, said the Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday.

The team representing Pakistan Army secured first position in all individual and team events.



Naik Arshad was declared the best sniper in the competition, which was attended by 21 teams representing 14 countries.
