Race to be world's first TRILLIONAIRE 'between Bezos, Branson and Musk'
23 March 2019 | https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/we...e-mining-richard-branson-elon-musk-jeff-bezos
THE world’s first trillionaire will exist by 2040 having made their whopping fortune in space, it has been predicted.
Numerous experts believe space mining – drilling asteroids for metals – as well as colonising other planets, will most likely create the globe’s wealthiest person ever as the industry swells.
But most amazingly, this entrepreneur may already be one of the world’s richest men.
Experts believe this title could be claimed by one of the world’s current billionaires – either Richard Branson, Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos.
Technology company RS Components has charted the journeys each entrepreneur has made in terms of space exploration to examine who is closest to galactic dominance.

“Space exploration is no longer reserved for scientists alone, but some of the world’s most famous and successful entrepreneurs, with the likes of Richard Branson, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos making significant strides in the industry that is set to be worth a staggering $1 trillion by 2040,” the firm said.
For years, Bezos, Musk and Branson have been investing in commercial space exploration through their companies Blue Origin, SpaceX and Virgin Galactic.
“Dating all the way back to the year 2000, these men have been launching their way to space for almost two decades.
“But which of these billionaires are leading the way and who will be the first to crack the market?”

According to RS Components, the three companies appear to be neck and neck in terms of recent space industry developments.
This includes Blue Origin stating it will sell commercial tickets for its spacecraft The New Shepard this year following a successful test flight in the Texas desert.
And Richard Branson has also confirmed commercial flights are planned to begin this year
SpaceX has even carried out a successful space test after its Heavy Falcon, loaded with a Tesla Roadster, blasted off.
This year, Musk’s company has said it will reveal its first spaceship designed for crewed missions to the moon and Mars.
