I was watching a documentary from the 80's about the end of empire. It had people who were there during the final years of the raj. One cannot even begin to get their head around how this man handled the task and got his way.

And, he did it knowing fully well that the most of the Muslim leaders are few pennies away from being sold if not already!!!! And, he himself was at the terminal stage of lungs ailment!!!! And, not to mention the treachery of the British and Congress leadership and their secret collusions!!!! Even after independence he had to immediately embark on a military mission with his rag tag army and tribals to get Kashmir!!! In the meantime, half of the country turned into "friends of our enemies" at the instigation of their former blood thirsty masters!!!! Last time, Hazret-i Musa (PBUH) was in such a dire situation with Beni Israil!!!!

I long for a world where at least my children can raise their head in pride for being Muslim and Pakistanis... Or a part of the Islamic world...
