He is right though. Most 3rd world countries will not approve low tier professionals work visa to compete with the locals. Not sure about Vietnam, i have seen others. Only highly skilled or specialist are allowed.

Just be honest. I have really seen work visas for several countries, i have doubt Vietnamese government would allow China to flood Vietnam job market.

look, Samsung sends 700 engineers to Vietnam. They will teach how to operate the new factory that will produce displays for Samsung and Apple phones. Ok, display Factory is a complex thing, but garment factory? Or plastic tool factory?
If you contruct a machine that makes simple things but require hightech engineers to operate it then you made something wrong.

So are South Koreans, 15-20,000? 10,000+ Taiwanese? I wonder why Vietnam don't hire labor more from Myanmar and Laos to fill the gap, they are cheaper.

Vietnam has plentiful cheap labor pool. We need high skill people. I don’t mind, if 100,000 chinese engineers come to us. We have a warm heart for chinese.

Vietnam has plentiful cheap labor pool. We need high skill people. I don’t mind, if 100,000 chinese engineers come to us. We have a warm heart for chinese.

Definitely the way to go. Malaysia has a habit hiring unskilled workers doing lower added value chain industries.

great! I wish you have more foreign s expats that show their great love of Vietnam and make 90x more than local Vietnamese. You can have them all. Even attract some from Thailand and Phillipines.

what to update? Vietnam has little or no impact to region. update or not update is not important. Some Vietnamese here brag like bomb because they are Vietnamese in exile. These Viet refugees have been dragging China into every aspects of their failures and their anti Viet Communist Party rhetoric. About Vietnamse in Vietnam, after vietnam war, there were a large number of vietnamese refugees in US. Almost every family of south vietnamese have relatives in US and so they tend to be anti-government under their skin because of being brainwashed, fake news, and propaganda and conspiracy theories of Vietnamese in exile spread on internet. The Vietnamese leaders are aware of that. That is why the power never be shifted to the south.
