শ্রম ও কর্মসংস্থান প্রতিমন্ত্রী মন্নুজান সুফিয়ান বিএনপির নিখোঁজ নেতা ইলিয়াস আলীর স্ত্রীকে ‘বিধবা’ উল্লেখ করে বলেছেন, তাঁর স্বামীর খুনি কে তিনি (ইলিয়াসের স্ত্র&#2496 তা জানেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সঙ্গে সাক্ষাত্কালে বিষয়টি খুলে বলার জন্য তিনি ইলিয়াসের স্ত্রী তাহসিনা রুশদীর প্রতি অনুরোধ জানান।
আজ মঙ্গলবার সকালে ওসমানী স্মৃতি মিলনায়তনে মে দিবসের অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উপস্থিতিতে প্রতিমন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন। এ অনুষ্ঠানটি বিটিভি ও বেতারে সরাসরি সম্প্রচার করা হয়।
মন্নুজান সুফিয়ান বলেন, ‘ইলিয়াস আলীর স্ত্রী, বিধবা স্ত্রী, আমি বলতে চাই যে আপনার স্বামীর প্রকৃত খুনি কে, সেটা আপনার মনও জানে। আপনি টিভির সামনে যখন কথা বলেন আমি আপনাকে উপলব্ধি করি। আপনার মনের মধ্যে যে কথাগুলো আপনি বলতে পারেন না...। এবং আপনিও জানেন আপনার স্বামীকে কারা অপহরণ করে আজকে কোথায়... জীবিত আছে, কি মৃত আমি জানি না। আল্লাহই জানে। আর যারা এ কাজটা করেছে তারাই জানে।’
সরকারই ইলিয়াস আলীকে গুম করেছে বলে বিএনপির অভিযোগের দিকে ইঙ্গিত করে প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বঙ্গবন্ধুর মেয়ে, তিনি এই কাজ কোনো দিন করতে পারেন না।’
বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন ও বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা খালেদা জিয়ার ‘ধমকে’ তাহসিনা রুশদীর কথা বলছেন বলেও মন্তব্য করেন প্রতিমন্ত্রী মন্নুজান। তিনি বলেন, ‘খালেদা জিয়ার ধমকে আপনার মুখ যে বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে...। আমি যখন টিভিতে আপনার ছবি দেখি, এটা কিন্তু আমি উপলব্ধি করতে পারি।’

1) Awami League will soon shut any communication from Elias Ali wife and start speaking on be half of her to run propaganda.
2) Awami League will intercept, change and force media to publish Awami version of Elias Ali wife statement.
