Babri Masjid issue and Gujarat riots cannot be compared. Though, the reason for both are communal in nature, yet there is difference in how things have happened.
Many Hindus and Muslims got killed in Gujarat riots, it was unfortunate but the SIT appointed by Supreme court has done it's job.
Babri masjid was more politically motivated. Things could have been handled in a better way. In history of India, these are some dark chapters indeed.
