Oh Phoenix. Remember the old times here?? The times of conspiracy theories were prevailing and the thought of everyone is conspiring against us and stuff?? Sad sad times they were indeed. It is a sign of weakness and by God we were weak. Now however things changed and it is as if light has shined here and took away that darkness. And funny thing is all it took was banning Pokemon for the younger generation to finally figure out the amount of bullocks they have been subjected to. I petty us at that time and it is sad that people wish to remain in the darkness, perhaps the light of showing their true state is too painful so that is where they remain.
Yeah I do remember those times, it's good that they are over. Believing all of your problems originate from some other source, is simply shifting the blame in my opinion. I am glad the Saudi society has seen sense at last, if you want your conditions & circumstances to change then you must change yourself first.
Would love to make a psychological assessment on this mentality, perhaps I will submit it as my first research "Selective Paranoia" and how it is a psychological defense mechanism falling under the title of Level 2 immature defense mechanism of "Projection". Only on a more wider range that covers a group of people systemically instead of an individual. Oh what a research gold mine that is. I will make sure to make extensive studies on this group here and release my research work in the upcoming years. Oh the science that can be had here is just too exciting to let it pass by.
Go ahead with that research, in fact here is some material you can use from my side. To me projection is simply blaming others for your own failure. Some people can't grasp that had they made a real effort to improve themselves, they would have undoubtedly succeeded. It's a simple attempt to cover your own faults, like those people that make claims such as "religious extremists are funded by the CIA", etc. I am not saying that might not have happened in particular cases. However if the society had put in an effort to educate its population on the true teachings of a religion then it would be very difficult to convince them to adopt extremist ideologies.
I think you understood, what I was trying to explain here, although my example might not be a really good one. I hope Pakistan too can change itself, & move towards a more prosperous future without blaming others for their problems.
