Qadri going to US for medical treatment

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri may return to Canada for medical treatment soon in view of his deteriorating health. He felt cardiac problem amid high blood pressure and fever prior to his address to party workers in Bhakkar the other day.

Local doctors in Bhakkar, where he is camped these days to attend the PAT sit-in in Dullewala town (Bhakkar), have advised him to take long rest.

Party leaders say that doctors in Canada had also advised the PAT chief to take rest and avoid travel abroad. “I believe that Qadri Sahib will not go back to Canada till the conclusion of party’s scheduled rallies and sit-in in different cities, including Karachi, next month. But if his health did not improve, he may return for his medical treatment,” PAT’s secretary (information) told Dawn. He said as per earlier schedule he would go back to Canada after Dec 25.

He said on Tuesday the doctors thoroughly examined Dr Qadri by checking his blood pressure and conducting his ECG test at the residence of a party office-bearer in Bhakar. “His ECG test is normal but the BP is high. He is also feeling fever. So doctors requested him to take maximum rest,” Faiz said.

Talking about the PAT’s protest schedule, he said the party would organize a public meeting in Sargodha on Dec 5, followed by another rally in Sialkot on Dec 14, Mansehra on 21st and Karachi on 25th.

To a question, he said the PAT wouldn’t join the PTI rally in Islamabad on Nov 30. However, its leadership would consider sending a delegation there if the PTI leadership formally sent invitation to the PAT, he said.

As usual, a complete failure of an attempt to attack Dr. Qadri. LOL!
Dr. Qadri is entitled to get treatment from any doctor or hospital he chooses.
Since he has lived in Canada previously, the doctors he has already seen there will obviously have better knowledge of his medical history than the doctors in Pakistan. He has developed a relationship with specific doctors in Canada, and they are the people who are best qualified to treat his specific conditions, since they have direct, recent personal experience with treating him.
Dr. Qadri's "Minhaj-ul-Quran" organization is an international one, which means he will be spending time abroad, as he has stated, and he has family in Canada, who he will go to visit from time to time, so it makes sense for him to combine this with visits to those doctors he has already seen in Canada and who know his condition best.
There is no problem here.

but when it comes to money, they will suck every drop of it ...

So he is going to US.

Also US medic care is quite expensive and isn't free like in Canada. I guess that's a shut up call to those who were saying "but treatment in canada is free!"

So now we've two things. First, he's refusing Pakistan treatment. Second, he is making us of American treatment. Whatever happened to "everyone is equal" and "rich people go abroad for treatment and we rot in Pakistani hospitals."?

Stop justifying this man's action one way or the other.

well i went to genral hospital on fehroz pur road today . There were dogs in the hall of the ward, just see the live videos of mubashir lucman when he visited different hospital .. recently 21 childern died in hospital due to lack of medcine. my servent have nero surgery as there was no chair i have to stand against the wall for almost 12 hours. u can come visit there is no chair in whole ward. Hospital in Pakistan are shit , just see some videos .

lets make a thread about conditions of hospitals and we ca all contribute to raise our voice against it ?

2) It is VERY sad that kids died in a hospital and that the conditions are not that great. I appreciate your effort to opening up a thread to debate and discuss ideas on improving the service and helping the sick. I hope the new thread doesn't become a political statement like most of the threads that somehow the current government is responsible for everything. When the reality is, this is the same shi*t that the Pakistanis are dealing with for over 70 years. Now the money is getting poured into the economy and it will result in improving healthcare conditions as well. So let's put our ideas on improving healthcare quality and service.

All valid points indeed. This guy gets FREE medical treatment in Canada. I mean ALL medical treatment for free as a Canadian resident. Why is he coming to the US? Canadians have a similar healthcare system (quality and technology wise), usually they don't come to the US for stuff like Cardiac treatment, Cancer treatment, etc. Why is he leaving good and free treatment to come to the US?
One of the answers might come to my mind is that its a cover up or an excuse for a different reason. It's not what it appears to be. He's a Canadian citizen (unfortunately), leaving free treatment and coming to the US makes no sense unless he has someone to meet or do some business or political deal.

Last but not least, the poor Pakistani people this idiot was representing......are still suffering and HE has the luxury to leave one of the best healthcare systems in Canada and come to a more luxurious healthcare systems in the US, which will cost him a fortune as he doesn't have insurance here........ONLY in Pakistan!!! Leaders can lie to people, show them one side of their real personality, go to the US or the UK or Canada and become an ENTIRELY different person.

As a reminder, the previous Indian Prime Minister had a serious heart by-pass and a very complicated one. He was running SUCH a huge country and he could've EASILY come to the US (and probably for free, all paid by the Indian government). But he chose to NOT spend the tax payer dollars and wanted to put his life in his Indian countrymen doctors hands as he thought they were just as qualified as the Western doctors. And his bypass took many long hours. Similarly, the treatment is now available in Pakistan too.......if these guys thought Pakistan's doctors are worth giving a shot, when the ordinary people they represent go to those doctors. Only in Pakistan a "leader" can lie to the entire country about how patriot he is and how he wants to challenge the government and the rulers and others.....all to make a vote bank. However, his money, families, kids and all, usually stay in Western countries where he follows the rules and stands in the line. But in Pakistan, he suggests to break all the lines. The Pakistanis need to understand these two-faced leaders better.

Yeah, why not go to UK or dubai for treatment?

I don't believe in conspiracy theories and whoever he's meeting in US, he can meet elsewhere as well. So not sure what he's up to.
