LAHORE: Punjab Police arrested three suspected militants, who were allegedly planning a terror attack, from Alfalah Town in Lahore on Saturday, Express News reported.
The police and security agencies conducted a search operation on Friday night, in which three suspected militants were apprehended, while hand grenades and arms were recovered from their possession.
The hand grenades were handed to the Bomb Disposal Squad and were defused.
Nine alleged militants who were released on bail from various jails of Punjab in September are believed to be planning attacks against rival sects in Moharram, warns a report of an intelligence agency forwarded to the IG Police Punjab.

It is mostly IB, ISI who do the tracking and pinpointing, the police with IB and other LEA's do the final op. Police are even kept out of the loop for 80% of the time!

Regular SHO is kept out of loop. Partcular DSP/SP of that area is kept in loop. And Mostly the Special branch carries out the ground Op. IB rarely carries out the raid as it's not in their mandate
