Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved of a decision to once again begin the construction of Pakistan’s tallest building — with the structure expected to be located on Ferozepur Road, a news source reported. As per the publication, the government has contacted UAE authorities in this regard, in order to ask them for assistance with the development of this project.

According to the details available, the project was initially conceived and launched under the government of former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi. However, the project did not receive much attention during the tenures of the subsequent Punjab governments (between 2008 and 2018). However, the current administration has decided to revisit the original idea, and see it through to the end.

The Government of Punjab has promised that the proposed building will contain all the modern amenities and facilities that can be expected from a commercial plaza of its kind. In turn, it is the provincial government’ hope that the construction of the structure will help boost economic activity in the city and create jobs for its citizens.

. .
what is the need of such BS ?
I would rather they start building subways and mass transit.
shiny buildings are the last part of city infrastructure.

I kind of wish they would hire city planers from Tokyo and have them re-plan all our major cities.

lol there is already one in Karachi Icon Tower which is 300 M super tall and completed with so many others.
