PTI Government has made a joke of the Police force, on average IGP is replaced every 6 months. How do you even judge somebody's performance in 6 months? This creates a lot of confusion amongst the ranks of the Police and eventually results in incomplete policy changes.

IG Inam Ghani was a competent officer and he deserved at least 3 years to implement the changes he was bringing in the Police Force.

1, 2, even 3 changes could have still been looked at in a different angle but 7th change is enough to tell you the competency of Buzdar Administration. Utter confusion!

Bonus point: the 6th Chief Secretary has been close to Fawad Hassan Fawad, and worked closely with the former Prime Minister at his office in last Government.

This IG position is a complete and utter s*** show

No other way to put it

Police in Punjab is same like they were in pmln era.in three years of pti nothing changed.
Police is still corrupt to the core.

Absolutely. And one of the major reasons is that the Government keeps changing its head. Imagine if Army got a new chief every 6 months. The have to stick with one competent officer and bring the change through him. The policy changes is the responsibility of the government, how's that all 6 IGs were not willing to work towards what the Government was telling them to? It's pure incompetence of the Punjab Government.

Why they will bring a competent leader?
Its not in their interest.they want puppet who do as they wish when ever he go out of line they change him.
Try changing the CM for once
Buzdar is not competent to do the job
PTI failing in Punjab is not a good sign for IK
Buzdar and health minister are biggest disappointment in Punjab.

It seems pretty stupid to keep changing them, unless they're not willing to implement the required changes.

Pakistan should be converted into a participatory democracy with politicial decisions in the palm of the people.
Wanna change the IG? Put it to a vote.
Wanna build a road in your locality? Put it up in "requests" and have nearby people vote for it.
Wanna have a corrupt politician cremated alive? Put it up to a vote!

I read the thread alert as "Punjab gets 7G" and jumped. :PThen I re-read it again, and realized.........

We need a Pattern Commission like reforms in Pakistani policing.

For those who don’t know the Pattern Commission in the late 90s and early 2000s reinvented policing in Northern Ireland after decades of war.

I just read up on it. Sounds interesting. PTI had its own reforms agenda but their main guy resigned in a few months because of incompetency of Buzdar Government. And since then, we have not heard anything regarding Police reforms.
