At the time of independence, Punjab bore the brunt of partition. No other province of (present day) Pakistan was bifurcated. Why Punjab every time ?

May nay b kaha tha for sake of betterment of whole of Pakistan Punjab needs to be divided into smaller provinces and afforded freedom from the influence of political dynasties. Punjab gets to decide who is going to govern (in our case its rule sadly) in center. Its not something against the people of Punjab but for their own good and betterment of rest of Pakistan.

First of all it is next to impossible to do this and not just for Punjab but for every area of pakistan. Any attempt will see it become a nationalist issue. The reason is bcz the form of the province pre dates the federation of pakistan, people have attachment to the idea of name and form, losing districts means losing political clout and finances which will not be accepted and most of all the emotional and senseless masses will gobble the nationalist propoganda and call it a conspiracy against ethnicities.

The fact is that its rubbish to say that only punjab needs division. Thats the propaganda of incompetent nationalist parties who failed in their tenure and blamed Punjab for their failures. Yes Punjab is large and due to huge population it does get a deciding factor but one cannot ignore the fact that other provinces also need to be divided.

Baluchistan itself is too large to manage by the provincial government. Not only that, the remoteness of the province demands a better administrative structure to reach out to the population.

Sindh is another. Politically south sindh and north sindh are different and world's apart.

Khyber pakhtunkhwa has hazaras...

Need of the hour are many small provinces.

Well you are already aware that India has half of Punjab and half of Kashmir. But the British took half of Baluchistan from Iran and land from Afghanistan which is now KPK and FATA. As for Sindh, the Kutch areas that are in India (now part of the Gujarat state) were actually part of Sindh. Also maybe some parts of Rajasthan but i am not 100% sure about it.

Not all Sindhi's are uneducated but this is fact. They keep dieing from hunger, when any anchor approch to them and ask they keep complain, we are hungry we are this but when that anchor ask whom you gonna vote, they say vote is for bhutoo then why blame others, they don't even have good hospital and their ruling party is ruling sindh from 8 years. Unless karachi is seprated from sindh as new province, I don't see any improvement in karchi.

Today is rainin in karachi for hours and I am sure, there will be news about karachi how rain destroying it. No one cares, just because this problem of sindh included in karachi.

You can not divide one province only, Either all or none, Bec no one will allow to dilute his power. After punjab the next one will be sindh and so on. So its not a solution.

It is more important that the Urdu-speaking ‘Mohajir’ community get their own province first. Without their own province, the Mohajir community will become more marginalised and disenfranchised. The Mohajir province must include Karachi, Gwader and Hyderabad. All other areas may remain in Sindh. The ‘deep state’ establishment intentionally broke up the MQM using strong arm tactics in order to protect their own narrow interests. The result is that now the Mohajir community is vulnerable. Now more than ever they require their own province with a provincial government that will serve their interests first. This is what justice demands.


As for Punjab, it too should be divided up into smaller provinces, because many areas in south and west Punjab are tired of Lahore’s domination. I am from Multan, and I’m sure my brothers from places like Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, etc., will agree with me.

Not only Punjab, we must put a clause that any any above 50lakh people will be break into two province and they must have one state of the art University and Hospital.
