There is no compulsion for children to go along to watch public execution but adults must watch.. Its an Islamic procedure actually and it is done so that the punishment serves as a lesson for others and people might fear the crime itself...

True..if they really want to hang them in public, do it in a closed area where the children can be prevented from viewing the execution.

Even then the hangings in Iran are still barbaric. They don't let the prisonors fall, but they make it so long as possible. Here (warning: graphic):

I totally disagree with children being able to watch people being killed, why don't they provide rotten tomatoes for the crowd to throw while their at it?
I also disagree with public execution and even execution full stop but that's another matter.

Yes, it's definitely in Iran. No, it's a prisoner who's hanged by government people.

Yes, it's definitely in Iran. No, it's a prisoner who's hanged by government people.

In India hangings are rare and even then extreme care and precautions are taken so as to make the death as swift as possible. Its never rushed as seen in Iran in the video. Also the prisoner has to be mentally and physically fit.

I will not claim that but Iranians has to seriously rethink about the way in which executions are carried out.
