About time, here again India has a lead and most major competitors have been in business for far longer.
Why did it take so long? Just goes to show the lack of initiative shown by previous governments and stake holders.

They need to hire good educated journalists and run panel shows with integrity inviting diplomats and personalities from world stage to provide good quality new coverage. They should take western channels and talk shows as a benchmark.

I do hope they stay away from telecasting new like Indian channels specially that rag Republic Bharat, even NDTV is pretty much following the same script and format. Keep discussions civil and impartial and make the channel a global force to project Pakistan's positive image. That should remain the core ethos of this new channel.

I was expecting Turkche before Farsi.....

Honestly, PTV has a prime opportunity. Aljazeera and RT are good, but they are banned from criticizing their own governments so they can be considered propaganda.

PTV will have complete editorial control akin to BBC, they can carve out a niche in the international market.

Lack of high tech FHD equipment. Even a youtube channel has better quality
Lack of easily available online streaming

Change logo and bring Digital HD transmissions to improve viewing experience.

Excellent decision...I always wonder Pakistan has so many private channels but why not a single English language channel ...not even news in English.
In addition to English, Pakistan needs two more TV channels (1) Arabic (2) Chinese

And I should be anchor over there

For starters, drop the "PTV" branding. Second, keep the new channel seperate from PTV. Al-Jazeera and Russia Today are targetted entirely at international audiences. They don't operate domestially. Otherwise, the editorial guidlines will become controversial at home like BBC.

It has to be a private channel free from Politics but has to be pro-Pakistan. We don’t want Jang/Geo & Samma anti-government English Channel.

Persian is widely spoken in the region.

A dedicated channel may well be some years ahead but persian language is an asset

Follow the AlJazeera or RT model and we are set!

They should really promote this news channel and get some well spoken anchors
