If PML want a future in Pakistani politics, they need to dump the Sharif clan and it's cronies and re-establish themselves as a genuine political entity. Otherwise the future is clear, they will go the way of PPP which is now just a play-thing for the Zardari family. The PPP has the slaves of interior Sindh to rely on, PML won't even have that.

Pakistani politics NEEDS a geniune political alternative to PTI. it needs someone to challenge the PTI otherwise PTI will also sink the country all whilst patting itself on the back for a job well done. All of us need a challenge to perform at our best, the opposition are an essential check and balance in parliamentary democracy - in Pakistan they are a joke.

Muslim League also created Pakistan. Maybe you need to stop your slavery to PTI media wing. Fact of the matter is that we need effective opposition. PML has a choice - create that effective opposition by abandoning Sharif's and their cronies, or go the way of PPP and become a defunct political platform dedicated to making a family of crooks even richer.

IF PPP and PML cannot reform, then until Pakistan creates a new alternative to PTI, it will have a poor mans 1 party system where all the feudals and crooks will jump ship onto. PTI could become what it opposed if not challenged.

Parliamentary democracy does not work without a challenger. This issue is beyond political parties and about the effectiveness of our system of governance.

Not the same Muslim League, the 'N' at the end is a big giveaway.. the fact when Pakistan was created [P]ML became irrelevant anyway after achieving its primarily objectives the [P]ML chapter should have ended there and thus disallowed to be continued, for it led to opportunists like Donkey king et al milking PML's name to further his own nefarious agenda.

I do agree with You on there being a formidable opposition to ensure PTI always remain on its toes, and not take things for granted as it's bound to follow a similar [but NOT treacherous] trajectory after IK's exit, should a new leader not be up to the task, unfortunately it does seem the party does not always adhere to its own meritocratic principles, perhaps this was a necessary evil where deadweights [liabilities] from other parties were let in to solidify their governance else we'd have an unstable government having detrimental consequences on Pakistan as a whole. But the sad truth is there is literally no party other than PTI that has credentials to lead Pakistan, every other party* has conspired against the state, that's not something we can brush under the rug, as history has shown time again it sets a bad precedence and the after effects are still being felt today.

The only alternative I see is a new legitimate grassroots movement like how IK started PTI, or PTI itself one day taking both roles; governance and main opposition, where the latter might become a reality should PTI split into two groups, although I don't see this happening anytime soon, though the cracks are somewhat visible.

Bro we need effective opposition against any government, including PTI govt. In our current chutiya opposition who will challenge govt if it does something wrong? Or to suggest alternative ideas? Or to hold govt to account in Parliament?
