Look , i can't claim to hate these morons as much as you do because of pre-understood circumstances but i do hate them as much as everyone else does , who haven't suffered fourth degree burns from the fire of terrorism.
My solution is a "surgical" solution. Taliban in Afghanistan are not our problem , not at least for now. We have to deal with TTP - there are groups breaking away from them. We need to give them amnesty , break the organization into fragments through mutual compromises and "filter" those who are fighting under the fake facade of idealistic jihad from those who are using jihadi concept to carry out acts they get paid to do from the foreign masters.
Ever wondered how double agents are created? - He who wills to sale his national interests puts a price tag on his face. If you can't convince him , you can "outbuy him". First we contain , then we isolate , then we fragment then we kill those who won't compromise. Using military force over all of them is giving them a unifying factor which has to be eradicated before we eradicate them.
Every organization is made up of people who would or would not compromise , thats your ace in the hole. It may take years but this is the only way forward. You can keep sending F-16s & SSG around and around , keep losing your boys and keep producing potential terrorists for next 30 years , turn your economy into Somalia and still have Al-Shabab !
Let me reiterate , there is NO quick fix , if you have one , educate me , i will change my views.
What makes you think their Jihad will end after kicking Americans out?
TTP/BLA would lose a "retreat turf" inside Kandahar province , they would not be able to do hit & run attacks as first they would be in small fragments because of the above strategy , secondly , all those who want to make peace will make peace , that would leave the hardcore elements which would not compromise - having no US/NATO would allow us to carry out Air-Strikes in Afghanistan as Turkey does in N-Iraq , as well as targeted spec ops.
Unfortunately , we would have to fight them for at least a decade to eradicate , it would take lots of sacrifices but we will succeed.
